Latest in Beauty offer some great limited edition, one-off beauty boxes and you can see what’s inside before you buy. One of their latest is a collaboration with the chic Harper’s Bazaar magazine and its contents have been curated by their beauty experts.
The Latest In Beauty X Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Box* (£45 from Latest In Beauty) is worth a whopping £156 and the nine products inside are amazing. I am totally in love with this box.
First up is a full-size Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (worth £24). This is brilliant and it really sorts out dry and dehydrated skin as you sleep. It feels like a very thick moisturiser and you apply it generously over your whole face at bedtime. When you wake, your skin will feel so soft and plump from its Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and Japanese Seaweed. Use it twice per week to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy.
Another great skincare addition to the box is a 15ml sample size (which is more than a quarter of the full size) of Zelens 3t Complex Essential Anti-Aging Cream (full size worth £95). This is one pricey moisturiser, so this is a great opportunity to try it out without investing. It’s created by skincare expert Dr Marko Lens and contains Ursolic Acid which is a powerful anti-ageing ingredient that reduces wrinkle depth, improves skin firmness and elasticity, helps to reduce collagen degradation and is an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxident. It also has moisture boosting Hyaluronic Acid in it, as well as Vitamin E as well as a host of other skin perfecting and nourishing ingredients.
Onto makeup, there’s a 15ml sample size of the Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer (50ml full size worth £30) This is a cult primer that has been put through its paces by many a beauty guru and come out on top. It’s a lightweight cream that has a pearlescent finish to it. Apply it before makeup to give you a beautiful radiance and a soft focus effect that blurs imperfections. It will also keep your makeup in place a lot longer.
Another makeup item in the box is a miniature travel size Lancome Hypnose Mascara (full-size worth £24.50). This black mascara has a fat fibre brush that gets right into all your lashes; coating and volumising them. You get good separation and an intense boost of jet black volume without clumping. I really like this mascara and it really transforms your lashes.
Also in the box is a really cool full-size face self-tanning product. Tan-Luxe’s The Face Illuminating Drops in Light/Medium (worth £35) is a shimmery oil and you add 1-4 drops of it to your daily moisturiser to give your skin a luminous look and a bit of colour. You can control how much colour you want by how many drops you put in. I love this.
There is also a full size nail varnish in the box and I had been wanting to try this brand for quite a while. Nailberry’s polishes are 5 free – this means it does not contain 5 of the harmful chemicals found in other nail polish brands. It’s also Vegan and cruelty free. I have the shade Rouge (worth £14.50). It applys smoothly and evenly, and it’s long-lasting too.
Onto haircare, there is a 37ml travel size of the cult Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray (75ml size worth £19). This fine, invisible mist will give you incredible beachy texture, natural hold and and volume with hardly any effort. It also absorbs oil at the roots, so acts like a dry shampoo too. It’s a beauty blogger favourite!
Talking of cult haircare products, you also get a 25ml bottle of the famous Moroccanoil Treatment (worth £13.45). You can use this lightweight oil in so many ways – apply a few drops through damp hair after shampooing to give you a soft and shiny style; apply it to the ends of your dry hair to protect them from the sun and other environmental factors; or by adding some to your hair dye mix to increase colour intensity and shine levels.
The final product in the box is a 30ml travel-size scented facial mist. The Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist (50ml worth £25) comes in a beautiful glass bottle and it has such a soothing scent. It’s made with Hungary’s mineral-rich thermal waters that are said to rejuvenate, tone and protect the skin. Spray it on your face as often as you want, to add some moisture to your skin, calm yourself and cool down.
