Marc Jacobs have introduced four new shades to their New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick line-up – two are brown-toned and two are pink-toned. I’ve been trying out the two brown-toned shades and I wanted to share them with you as I love the colours and the formula so much.

The Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in In The Mood* (£25 from Selfridges) is a peachy orange-brown nude, and the shade Dreamgirl* (£25) is a darker, more traditional brown shade. I really like both of these shades and I love them mixed together. Nude lips aren’t going anywhere, so I’m excited to add these to my collection.

The formula is just gorgeous too – they literally just glide on and are so creamy and moisturising. They are very much balmy in texture and feel more like a lip balm with the highly-pigmented colour of a really good lipstick. Not only do they look good, but they condition your lips too – there’s Monoi Butter, hydrating Myrrh Extract and the antioxidant Vitamin E in there.

These are such a perfect everyday lipstick and they are those ones that you can apply without a mirror without too much worry. These have now entered my handbag makeup bag and I don’t see them leaving any time soon.
