I’ve been trying these out for a good few weeks now and I love all of them. Some of these products aren’t out until June, but I wanted to share the info on them with you, as well as some swatches – so you can get excited in advance!
Let’s start with the product that you can get your hands on at the moment. I’m obsessed with it! The Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional: Pore Minimising Makeup* (£26 from Benefit Cosmetics) has a very watery formula – even more so that MAC’s Face & Body Foundation does – and you apply few drops onto the sponge that you remove from the bottom of the bottle. This is shade 1.
You then use this sponge to stipple the foundation onto your face. A little goes a long way and you will get a lot more coverage than you might expect and it makes your skin look naturally flawless and dewy. Pores begone! You will need to go in with one of your own beauty sponges or brushes just to finish blending it out however. This is the perfect casual day, or ‘no makeup makeup’ foundation with a medium coverage. You feel like there is nothing on your face.
Onto the products that don’t hit shelves until June. Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is one of the most popular bronzers in the world, but for pale skin like mine, it’s too warm to really contour with naturally. Bring in Hoola Lite* (available soon for £24.50) – a perfect light and cool-toned bronzer for those with pasty white skin like mine. This matte bronzer looks so natural, blends beautifully and it still has that famous Hoola scent.
Top – blended out
Bottom – not blended
Another upcoming June addition to the Hoola family, is Benefit’s new Hoola Quickie Contour Stick (available soon for £23.50). This is the original Hoola matte bronzer shade, but in an extra blendable cream-to-powder formula that you can get a real precise contour application with via its domed tip. This does go on quite dark, but it blends out so nicely, evenly and naturally whilst still keeping that preciseness of placement. This is such a good product and when I want my pale skin to have more of a warmth to it in the summer, I’ll definitely be reaching for this to do my contouring with.
Finally, there is a new Benefit boxed highlighter coming to stores in June. The new Dandelion Twinkle* (available soon for £24.50) is a stunning all-over luminizer and highlighter with a slight hint of baby pink. If you like the paleness of the Dandelion blusher, this is the perfect accompanyment to dust all over your skin or to apply over your blusher on your cheekbones to really catch the light. It’s so finely milled, weightless and has a pretty delicate floral scent. Ideal for pale-skinned beauties like me.
