I’ve used and enjoyed several of Temple Spa’s skincare and body care products in the past, so when I discovered that they also produced makeup, I had to test some of it out and share my thoughts with you.
The packaging on Temple Spa’s makeup products is just as luxe as their aromatherapy and body care ranges; so using it feels like a real treat. Their Look On The Bright Side Instant Radiance Booster* (£30 from Temple Spa) comes in a heavy glass bottle with solid metal cap and is embossed with the Temple Spa logo and product details.
The product itself is a gold-toned liquid illuminator. It’s a thin fluid that can be applied all over the face before foundation to give an overall glow, or a few drops can be added to foundation to turn a matte formula into something more dewy and radiant. You can also just dab some onto your cheekbones over foundation for a subtle highlight. I really like this as it’s very radiant and shimmery, but the shimmer particles are so finely milled that it looks so natural. It also has natural brightness boosting ingredients in it, as well as anti-ageing vitamin B3.
Another primer-style product of theirs that I’ve been impressed with is the Temple Spa It’s All a Blur Instant Wrinkle Filler* (£30). This silicone-textured gel-cream has a matte finish and it minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines. It definitely helps to perfect your skin and give you a good even base for makeup. Like their liquid illuminator, it also has anti-ageing ingredients in it too.
Onto compacts, I’ve been trying the Temple Spa Healthy Glow Bronzer, Highlighter and Blush* (£30). These are extremely pigmented, so you need to make sure that you tap all the excess off of your brush first. The bronzer shade is too dark and warm for my pale skin, but the highlighter shade is actually a nice, light, cool-toned bronzer shade for me. The pink-coral blush is really pretty too and is perfect for spring.
Finally, I’ve been using the Velvelutto Velvet Face Base in Shade 01* (£30). This is a silky smooth creamy powder foundation that has a soft-focus finish to even skin tone and perfect the look of your skin. You get good builable coverage from this and it’s good for setting your makeup too.
What do you like the look of? My favourite is definitely the Look On The Bright Side Instant Radiance Booster.
