When I was in LA, I made several visits to Ulta stores across the city and picked up many face masks, including their own-brand sheet masks. I wasn’t expecting much from these; but they have actually blown me away.
Most sheet masks are worn for 20-30 minutes, but these say 10 minutes on the back of the packets. I was fully intending to keep mine on for 20-30 anyway, but when I placed them on my skin, I understood exactly why they say this. The masks I’ve been using are the Brightening Citrus and Anti-Aging Papaya – the only 2 currently available to buy. These are both very strong and you can really feel the tingling from the Vitamin C in each. The packets even instruct you to splash your face with warm water after use, but unless your skin is telling you that you need it, I wouldn’t do this – why waste a good serum?!
The Ulta Beauty Brightening Citrus Sheet Mask ($3 from Ulta). The citrus scent of this really packs a punch, so it’s a great way to wake you up in the morning. It contains skin brightening Vitamin C, which also helps to even out your skin tone. It also has Lemon Balm to cool and invigorate, and Vitamin E – an antioxident to protect and soothe the skin. Finally, there’s Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump the skin. Your skin does feel slightly tacky after using this, but it leaves your skin looking radiant, healthy and glowing. I just pop a moisturisier on afterwards and it cancels out the slightly sticky feeling.
The Ulta Beauty Anti-Aging Papaya Sheet Mask ($3 from Ulta) has a real tropical scent. It has Vitamin C to brighten and even out the skin, as well as Papaya Extract to firm and brighten the skin. There’s also hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, and Dead Sea Minerals to nourish and hydrate the skin too.
Both of these masks perform brilliantly and they are such a bargain. If you are in the US or are placing an order with Ulta, I’d definitely pick some of these up.
