It’s that time of the month again to take a peek inside the latest UK Glossybox*. This month’s box contains a nice mix of makeup, skincare and haircare products.
Let’s start with the only product in the box that I don’t like – the Beauty Pro Black Diamond Black Peel-Off Mask (£4.95 for 3). This actually went straight in the bin without me trying it as I don’t agree with these intense peel-off masks that you see all over YouTube. They are really bad for your skin. They are cult now though, so I can understand if you want to try it out. Please don’t put it all over your face through. Just paint a strip over your nose and/or your chin.
Another skincare item in the box is a sample size of the 111Skin Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (full size worth £110). I love this brand as I use their sheet masks a lot. I was really keen to try this eye cream and I love it. The texture is light, so it’s a great morning option. It’s designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles, decrease puffiness and minimise the appearance of fine lines. This is a great opportunity to try out a very expensive product before investing in the full size.
The final item for skin in the box is a hand cream – the Eness Cosmetics Argan Oil Nourishing Hand Cream (worth £6.50). I’m not overly keen on the scent of this, but that’s just personal preference. It feels luxurious, absorbs nicely and isn’t greasy. You also get a good amount, so it will last you a long time. Plus, it’s packed full of nourishing oils.
Onto makeup, I was excited to see a Sleek MakeUP product that I haven’t tried. Their Power Plump Lip Crayon in Notorious Nude (worth £5.50) is full size. It’s a soft, balmy-textured, decently pigmented lip crayon that has temporary lip plumping capabilities. Expect it to tingle (a lot!) when doing its work. This is a really pretty nude shade that will suit most people.
The other makeup item in the box is a pink-toned liquid illuminator. The sample size Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo (full-size worth £22.50) has a really pretty pearlescent finish that really reflects light and gives serious glow. I think it works best mixed in with foundation, but you can dab it over your cheekbones too for a dewier look.
Finally, there’s a full-size Batiste hair product in the box. The Batiste Stylist Shield My Locks Heat & Shine Spray (worth £4.49) is a gorgeous product. You spray it over dry hair before heat styling with the likes of straighteners and curling tongs. It protects up to 230 celcius and gives your hair a lovely shine too.
If you want to subscribe and get the June box, you will also get an extra free beauty bundle that you can choose at checkout. Head to the Glossybox* website to sign up!
