Soap & Glory have launched a line-up of new face masks called Mask Force 5 – because they’re like superheroes for your skin. There are 3 new sheet masks, 1 under-eye hydrogel mask and a gentle peel-off clay mask.
I love the packaging of these new products – they look so fun, girly and there’s lots of pink. Not only do they look good, but they perform well too. I have really enjoyed using all of them.
First up, let’s look at The Fab Pore Skin Smoothing Pore-Refining Mask* (£3.50 from Boots). This is an incredibly pleasant sheet mask to use – especially on a hot summer’s day. It’s very cooling and makes your face feel quite icy due to its mint, eucalyptus and tea tree ingredients. It also contains lavender (and this is the main scent you smell), willowbark, chamomile flower and lemon balm. It’s designed for oily/combination skin, but anyone with visible pores would benefit from this, as would any breakout sufferers. It refines the looks of pores to smooth your skin and perfect your complexion; leaving it soft and hydrated too. This was the first of their sheet masks that I used and I got quite a shock when I opened it up as the serum the mask is soaked with is very gloopy – a bit like wallpaper paste. It feels nice though, it works and it’s actually a nice change from those really wet, drippy masks you normally get.
Next up there’s the Speed Plump Super-Hydrating Miracle Moisture Mask* (£3.50). This has a lovely citrus scent and contains a great mix of hydrating and conditioning ingredients. It’s a hydrogel mask (so is gel-like in texture) and is infused with Hyaluronic Acid (which helps skin attract and hold on to moisture), Panthenol (for skin conditioning), Allantonin (for skin soothing), and Soap & Glory’s unique Pink Powerflower-3 Complex – to hydrate and condition. I like that this mask comes in two pieces, as you get a much better fit on your face.
The final sheet mask in the Soap & Glory Mask Force 5 line-up is the Bright & Beautiful Party Recovery Radiance-Boosting Mask* (£3.50). This mask is designed to brighten the skin, add glow and make it look more healthy and awake. Great if you’ve been tired, stressed or just a bit under the weather. It’s also perfect if you want to get your glow on for a night out. It contains skin brightening and radiance-boosting Vitamin C, a skin brightening White Flower Complex, Rooibos Tea extract and a host of other radiance-boosting ingredients. This is a great morning mask to wake your skin up for the day. It has a great fresh scent too.
Onto the eye mask, the Puffy Eye Attack Super-Hydrating Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches* (£3.50) are cooling under-eye patches that will firm, de-puff and brighten this area. There’s a tetrapeptide in there that helps to improve the appearance of dark circles and eye bags, liquorice root extract for brightening, cucumber juice for a moisture boost, and other moisture replenishing ingredients. These patches have a gorgeous fresh cucumber scent and they are great after a poor night’s sleep, or at the end of a stressful day at work.
Finally, the last Soap & Glory Mask Force 5 superhero mask is the What a Peeling Purifying De-Clog Mask* (£4). Unlike the other masks, you get two applications in this pack. It comes in two little pots (each with the amount of mask that you need for one use), as well as an applicator to smooth it onto your skin. This basically transforms from a gel into a paper strip that you can easily peel off. It’s gentle, but does a good job of clearing out your skin. It contains kaolin and bentonite clay to absorb excess oil on the skin, white willow bark to further tackle excess oil and Vitamin C to brighten the skin. It’s easy to use, effective and has a summery tropical fruit scent.
Which of the masks do you like the look of?
