I’ve been using Laura Geller’s stunning swirly powder highlighters for so long. This year, for the brand’s 20th anniversary, they came out with a cream strobing stick, and they have just launch their first liquid highlighters too.
I, of course, wanted to share the new launches with you; but also take a look at some of my favourite of her baked highlighter powders also. The Laura Geller Beauty Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators (currently £16.80, but was £21, from Feel Unique) are such beautiful highlighters – in the pan, and on the face. My favourite shade is Gilded Honey, but I also love Ballerina and Peach Glow (although these aren’t as glowy) – you can get a smaller trio of these in a palette together from Debenhams for £19.80; which is very handy as it has a mirror and sponge applicator included too. The formula of these powders are so creamy, pigmented and easily blendable. You can apply them lightly for a subtle glow, or really build them up for some popping strobing.
Laura Geller Beauty expanded on these popular highlighter powders earlier this year, with the launch of the cream 20th Anniversary Easy Illuminating Stick* (£21 from Cult Beauty). The shade is Diamond Dust and it’s a beautiful icy, very dewy, almost holographic, highlighter. It shifts in the light from blue, to pink, to violet – definitely fulfilling anyone’s unicorn dreams. Draw it on to the high points of your face, e.g. down the bridge of your nose and across your cheekbones, then blend out with your fingers.
Now, the brand have moved into liquid highlighters, with the launch of the stunning new Laura Geller Beauty Liquid Gelato Pillow Top Illuminators* (£21 from Cult Beauty). There are two shades – the cult golden Gilded Honey and pale pink Ballerina – and I have Gilded Honey (of course!). These look so pretty and dewy on their own, lightly dabbed on the high points of your face with the very cool attached applicator; or you can really amplify the powder highlighters by layering them over this liquid highlighter base.
I cannot recommend Laura Geller Beauty enough when it comes to highlighters. I can’t wait to see what they bring out next! Have you tried any of these before?
