The Glossybox UK boxes always have some great brands in them. This month, the box marks the end of summer by giving you beauty staples to see you into the new season. There are some really unique and interesting products in this month’s box!
If you would like to subscribe to Glossybox and get this month’s fabulous box, you can get it for and one-off £7 plus P&P by entering the code SEPTEMBER 7 here. You even get a surprise Kinder Bueno!
I’m going to start by showing you the makeup products in the September box. I’m so happy to see a full-size PIXI by Petra Brow Tamer (worth £12) in the box as I use clear brow gel daily, but they get very dirty-looking in the tube very quickly. This one from PIXI is a great one – it really holds your brows in place without feeling heavy or crispy.
There’s also a silicone makeup blender in the box. These are all over Instagram and YouTube, but they don’t perform well for me. Hopefully you will like them. The idea is that these blenders allow you to use less foundation and concealer as they don’t absorb any like beauty blender sponges do; making them more hygenic too. I just don’t think they blend foundation well on my skin. The STYLONDON Siligel Blender (worth £5.99) is designed to be rolled, pressed and tapped on the skin.
Onto skincare, there’s a travel-size MONU Firming Fiji Facial Oil (full size worth £26). This smells amazing and very relaxing – a blend of rose and patchouli essential oils. It’s great to add an oil into your skincare routine in the colder months of the year, as it is a more intensive treatment than a night cream. This one is designed to be used both morning and night if you wish, and will calm, firm, moisturise and brighten the skin.
There’s also a full-size hand cream in the box. The skinfix Hand Repair Cream (worth £12.99) contains oatmeal, so it’s great for those with eczema, extreme dryness and other skin conditions. It’s a blend of oatmeal, healing botanicals, rich natural butters and nourishing emollient oils. This is a very soothing hand cream that’s perfect for when the weather gets colder, as it will soothe irritation and redness, and tackle winter dryness.
Finally, there’s a full-size Taylor’s 32 Classic Mint Natural Whitening Toothpaste (worth £5). I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but I’m really impressed. I’ve been enjoying using this toothpaste and have found that it makes my teeth brighter and feel very clean. It has been developed by dentists and contains sodium bicarbonate and silica to remove stains naturally; xylitol and fluoride to reduce plaque; and Vitamin E for gum health.
