Another month has passed, so it’s time to share my beauty favourites with you. There’s a lovely selection of products ranging from makeup, to hand and foot care.
Let’s start with makeup. I’ve been using MAC Strobe Cream for a while, but i’ve only recently discovered the Peachlite shade (£25 from MAC Cosmetics) and I love it. This is the perfect shade for my skin tone, to wear on its own on no-makeup days, just to give me a bit of glow. It’s basically a moisturiser that has irridescence in it, and has a peach-toned shift when hit with light. It’s packed full of botanicals, vitamins and antioxidents, to moisturise, nourish and protect the skin. This is such an easy product to apply when you can’t be bothered with makeup, as it really improves the look of your skin. It’s great as a base for foundation too, to give you that lit from within glow.
Now Glossier has launched in the UK, I’ve finally had the opportunity to try a selection of products out. I’m enjoying them all, but i’ve been particularly reaching for two of them – Glossier Cherry Balm Dotcom* (£10 from Glossier) and Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam* (£15 from Glossier).
Cherry Balm Dotcom is a tinted and scented waxy skin salve that repairs dry and chapped skin. This gives your lips a bit of colour to them (really just a nice flush) and keeps them feeling soft and smooth. It’s definitely a handbag-must. Cherry will be a love or hate variety as the scent is quite artificial; but I think it’s a lovely one for winter. Cloud Paint in Beam gives your skin a natural-looking apricot flush (perfect for my super pale skin) when blended out onto your cheeks. You can build the colour intensity up too. Team this with the MAC Strobe Cream in Peachlite and you’ve basically got my look for most of November.
Another lip care product that i’ve been loving about the house, when I don’t want or need a tint to my lips, is the new Lypsyl Mirror Compact in Vanilla (£4.99 from Lypsyl). This is such a cute and handy product. It’s a small, slim and matte compact that contains a mirror and a generous helping of the fabulously moisturising Shea Butter and Vitamin E Lypsyl lip balm. It’s non-greasy, instantly softens, and it doesn’t have a strong scent at all – you really have to stick your nose in it to pick up any hint of vanilla. This is just such a reliable product, and it even has SPF 15. Love!
I’m definitely a lip gloss girl, and my favourite one this month has been from Buxom. The Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Sarina* (£15 from Cult Beauty) is a shimmering caramel gloss that has that tingly minty sensation to plump your lips as well as add shine. It really makes your lips look a lot fuller, and isn’t overly sticky in texture. It also contains Vitamins A and E to keep your lips feeling soft and protected. This is just a great everyday gloss that adds a touch of sparkle to your look.
Finally, I’ve been loving the hand (£9.99 for 3 pairs from Amazon) and foot (£19.99 for 4 pairs from Amazon) masks from 11 Village Factory. These Korean sock and glove masks contain a moisturising and conditioning serum that softens and hydrates your skin as you wear them; leaving your hands and feet feeling incredibly smooth. I just pop these on once a week in-front of the TV and let them do their work. They perform really well and are perfect for keeping your skin in good condition during the cold winter months of the year.
Have you tried any of these products? What have been your favourites this month?
