After having tried and not been so keen on the original GLAMGLOW Gravity Mud Firming Treatment, I still had to give their glitter version a go as it looked so fun and sparkly. Who can resist glitter?!The GLAMGLOW #Glittermask Gravity Mud Firming Treatment* (£44 from GLAMGLOW) is black and is packed with space-like holographic silver glitter. This mask definitely has no skin ‘care’ benefits; but it is fun to use and does offer a temporary skin tightening and firming effect that’s useful before a night out, to make you feel more confident. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has dry or sensitive skin as it contains a lot of alcohol (what is probably causing the skin tightening effect, although GLAMGLOW say it’s their TEAOXI® Complex of Licorice and Marshmallow Leaf that does it). It can also be quite tricky to peel off of the skin once it has dried. I do feel, however, that my jawline and cheeks feel quite a bit firmer, tighter and more lifted after using this, and before an event, that’s a good enough reason for me to continue to use it. I did find that the original Gravity Mud Firming Treatment caused me to break out the next day, but I seem to be fine with this one.You apply a generous layer to your face, then leave it to dry for 30-40 minutes, where it will turn even more sparkly and holographic. You then peel the mask off to reveal your mini ‘face lift’ that will last you for a night out. This is more gimmicky than beneficial, but it’s a lot of fun and will make you feel more confident for a special occasion. If you love glitter, I’d defintiely check this out; as long as your skin isn’t sensitive or dry.
