Happy New Year! I hope you all had a peaceful and happy Christmas. Last year I shared what I got for Christmas and the post was really popular, so I’ve gathered together some of the things I got this Christmas to share with you too.
One of the things that I love to get every year is new stationery and diaries for the year ahead. This year I got a new Ban.Do planner for my blog and social media, as well as another general diary for appointments and places to be. I also got lots of new stickers to decorate them with, as well as a new Zoella Lifestyle desk calendar and some cute cactus print notebooks and memo pads.
I also love to get new books at Christmas. I got such a beautiful fashion book – Paris Street Style: A Guide To Effortless Chic that I love looking at for inspiration. I also got a box set of the Pretty Little Liars novels. I loved the TV series so much, so I’m excited to get started on the books this year.
If you’ve read my blog before, or follow me on social media, you’ll know how much I love face masks and sheet masks. I use one nearly every day, so I love to keep my supplies stocked up and discover new brands. This Christmas I got a great selection, and I’m especially excited to try out the Candy Cane Cream Mask.
I also got some lovely jewellery and fashion accessories – socks are one of my most favourite things to get, as I love being cosy. I’m also obsessed with my new Lisa Angel wishbone necklace, and you can see me wearing it over on my Instagram. I also really appreciated some beautiful new earrings, as I’m building up my collection now that I’ve recently had my ears pierced again.
Talking of being cosy, I was so excited to get a mermaid blanket (you put your legs in the pocket and it has a tail). I’ve wanted one for a long time but hadn’t got round to buying one. This is a beautiful multi-coloured knitted one and I love it.
2018 is going to be the year that I travel lots, so I loved getting a new silver travel card holder from Oliver Bonas, as well as a cute pink luggage tag from Kate Spade. I also got a cute new Katie Loxton ‘Sparkle Everyday’ star keyring for my keys, and a new ‘Pink Skies Ahead’ coin purse (I needed a new one). I also got a gorgeous Lulu Guinness bag charm and some Lulu Guinness pins – this is one of my favourite brands, so I adore these.
As well as gifts from friends and family, I also took part in a few blogger Secret Santa swaps. I love doing these and picking out little gifts for people I don’t know. It also gives me more things to open on Christmas Day. One of the Secret Santas I took part in was organised by Love Megan Anne and I received a gift from Melanie Jessica. She put together a lovely packaged of individually-wrapped little treats and I really enjoyed opening it. I loved everything inside.
Finally, I got lots of chocolate, sweets and candy-inspired treats. I enjoyed having the Hotel Chocolat Dipping Adventure with my Mum on New Year’s Eve, and I can’t wait to burn the Drumstick candle as I love the smell of those sweets.
