I love playing with new makeup, especially if there has been a lot of hype around them. I’ve been really enjoying these 3 products since they landed on my doorstep, so I just had to share them with you. From Benefit’s BAD Gal BANG! (that’s everywhere at the moment), to Too Faced’s fun Glitter Pop Peel-Off Eyeliners, and Laura Geller’s handy Line-n-Defines.Benefit Cosmetics BAD Gal BANG!* – £21.50, Benefit Cosmetics
I love this water-resistant mascara, right from the first time I used it. It does everything that I need a mascara to do to my lashes, and it doesn’t transfer throughout the day. It lengthens, lifts, volumises and defines lashes, giving them a full, fanned out look. It’s hard for me to show you what this mascara looks like on me, as I have hooded eyelids; but I love it on me. You can really build this mascara up, and it still feels incredibly lightweight. It’s formula has space technology aero-particles in it – one of the lightest known materials. I love the long, slim flexible rubber brush too, as it makes it really easy to apply and see the effects immediately. In testing, 90% of users saw dramatic volume; 94% said it instantly lifts lashes; and 92% said it lengthened lashes. I think this is now my favourite Benefit mascara, as getting these stunning effects is literally effort-free.Too Faced Glitter Pop Peel-Off Eyeliner* – £16, Cult Beauty
These are such pretty chunky-glitter liquid eyeliners. I have the shades Yes Way Rose (rose gold) and Super Fun Night (silver), out of the available 8 shades. Wearing these on their own is such a quick way to do a stunning eye makeup look. They really catch the light and are super-sparkly. When it comes to the peel-off element, I’ve got to say that I think this is more of a gimmick than anything that works or is useful in any way. I can’t get them to peel off me; so I just appreciate these for the pretty eyeliner wing I can create easily, with good staying power, that they are. You apply these liners via their fine-tipped brush, and if you let each coat dry a little, you can really build up the intensity. SO pretty!Laura Geller Line-n-Define Dual Dimension Eyeliner* – £21, Debenhams
These duo ink and kohl eyeliners are so handy. On one end you get a thick black felt tip to draw on the liquid liner; then on the other side, you get a pointed, coloured kohl that you can use along your lower lash line, or to colour in your lid with, or to rim your eyes in the waterline and tightline. You only need this one product to create a stunning eye look. There are 8 available shades, and I have Black, Platinum and Blackberry. Platinum is my favourite shade as it’s such a strong, metallic silver that really makes an impact. The felt tip liner is easy to apply, and the kohl is soft and creamy. Be careful, however, that you’ve wound the kohl back down into the pen before you put the lid back on, or you’ll snap off and squash the tip.
