This month’s Galentine’s-themed Glossybox (from £10 per month at Glossybox) is such a lovely one – aesthetically, and in terms of the contents. The box itself is just beautiful this month, and will make a great storage box; and there is a great selection of products inside. It’s definitely a month to sign up, if you’ve been thinking about it for a while.
Not everyone each month will get exactly the same products, and the card inside that details what you have in your box, has started to list all the products that could be there, instead of just your exact five. I’m really pleased with what I got, and i’ll take you through each one, as well as letting you know what the other possible inclusions could have been.First up is a full-size eyeshadow palette from Sleek MakeUP. I adore this brand and think everything they make is of such a high quality. I’ve raved about their Divine Eyeshadow Palettes (worth £8.99) before, and I really like the shade selection in this one; even if it isn’t exactly spring-like. You get 12 shadows and they are all buttery soft and incredibly pigmented.
Also in my post is a full-size nude Steve Laurant Nude Pop Lip Tint (worth £17). I’ve never heard of this brand before, but it’s cruelty-free, which is great. The pot looks beautiful too. The lip tint has a matte moussey texture, which i’m not overly in love with personally; but the colour is a stunning caramel. You definitely need hydrated, non-chapped lips to be able to rock this, as it clings to all the wrong places if you don’t.
Another full-size product in my box is something that i’ve tried before and loved. The Skin Chemists London 24-Hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum (worth £64) is an increidble value for money product to get in a beauty box. This serum is wonderfully hydrating and skin plumping, and it also contains vitamins and antioxidants to minimise skin redness too. A real winning product!
The other two products in my box are both minis. There’s a miniature Studio 10 Beauty Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion (full-size worth £26) in there. This is a refreshing and hydrating water mist that you can use to pep up your skin, or use as a setting spray. This is a great product to save for travelling as it’s the perfect size.
Finally, a product that everyone will get in their box this month, is a miniature Ciate Paint Pot Nail Polish or Ciate Geology Topcoat. I got a paint pot in a very summery red-coral shade. It’s not something i’d wear at this time of the year, but i’ll keep it aside for the warmer months ahead. The quality of Ciate polishes are always great though, so this is a nice little addition to the box. They’re cruelty-free and Vegan too.
Other products you could get in your box in place of any of these (except the Ciate) are a full-size Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL (worth £24), a full-size Oolution Eye Love Eye Contour Cream (worth £30.99), and an Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara (worth £15).
