There has been some really lovely makeup releases recently, so I wanted to share with you four that I think you need to have in your spring 2018 makeup bag. You don’t want to miss out on these.Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush* – £24.50, Benefit Cosmetics from April
The releases from Benefit are just getting better and better. Their next launch, in April, is another one of their famous Box O Powders – a range of boxed blushers that come with their own, quite decent, brush. This one is Gold Rush, and although it looks and sounds just like a golden nugget, it is actually a peachy pink delight (with a hint of shimmer), and perhaps their nicest blusher so far. The gold you see when you open the box is a decorative overspray that disappears after the first use to reveal the pink colour that you can see coming through in the middle. Not only does this blusher look stunning on, but it smells amazing too – of citrus, vanilla and sandalwood.Cover FX Power Play Foundation* – £38, Cult Beauty
There’s no doubt this is a pricey foundation, but it’s oh so nice. It also comes in a whopping 40 shades and 3 undertones; catering to everyone. This vegan and cruelty-free foundation is designed to give all-day wear and shine control, with a matte finish. It also offers your skin protection from environmental aggressors. The formula feels lightweight on the skin and has great staying power. I like to apply mine with a sponge, and then set with a powder for great, all-day coverage. This is definitely my foundation of the spring, but if you have dry skin I think you might find this too drying.Smashbox Photo Edit Eyeshadow Trios* – £20, Smashbox
Smashbox have released a range of 16 eyeshadow trios, where all colours in each palette complement each other to be able to create a quick and easy look. These are great handbag-sized trios to create eye-catching looks on the go. They look cute too, as they are designed to look like a camera lens. I have the Day Rate trio, and it contains a lovely champagne shimmer, slate shimmer, and stunning green/purple duo chrome. You can create a gorgeous smokey mermaid eye with this, and I can’t wait to try some of the other trios.Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon* – £22, John Lewis
I’ve never seen a lipstick glide on as well as these. They literally melt onto the lips. These new lip crayons from Marc Jacobs come in 9 different shades, and I love the plum shade 300 Send Nudes. They offer 16-hour long wear and the look and feel of a liquid lipstick, but have the controlled application of a crayon. They aren’t at all drying on the lips, and offer bold, high-pigmented colour. They are ‘matte’, but they actually have quite a bit of a sheen; giving a really interesting and pretty finish.
