I find face masks a very relaxing thing to do, as it’s a chance to take some time out and pamper yourself as you wait for it to do its stuff. This mask, however, promises to work in just 1 minute, and I was so excited to try it out.
I have to say, when I saw the 1-minute concept of this, I was rather sceptical about how much of an effect a mask worn for such a short amount of time could actually have on your skin. However, I was immediately blown away by this product. The Nivea 1-Minute Urban Detox Mask +Purify* (£6.99 from Boots) is THE face mask for boys and girls who are constantly on the go, and who need quick fixes when it comes to beauty.
It’s a lightweight creamy clay mask, and you apply a thin layer all over your face, wait 1 minute, and then wipe it off with a warm, damp flannel. It doesn’t harden on the skin, so it’s easy and quick to remove. You’ll notice that it contains gritty exfoliating particles (refined wood pulp), so I like to massage the mask into my skin as I apply it, so that I get the full exfoliating effect. After using this, my skin immediately felt cleaner and looked brighter and healthier. I’m in love with this mask!
The Nivea 1-Minute Urban Detox Mask +Purify is designed for busy people who live or work in the city, and are subject to the urban pollution and environmental agressors that you find there. It contains Kaolin clay and Magnolia Bark Extract to detoxify and purify the skin through deep cleansing and the exfoliation of dead skin cells. Kaolin draws out impurities from your pores, and absorbs excess oil. Magnolia Bark Extract is packed with antioxidents to neutralise free radicals, and it also acts as an anti-inflammatory and fades dark spots and pigmentation.
After just 1 minute, this mask had a massive effect on the appearance and feel of my skin. I love that it’s so quick and hassle-free to apply and remove, so it’s definitely a mask that I would use daily after being outside in polluted areas. It’s very affordable too! You all need one of these in your beauty stash.
