I’ve discovered a new balm cleanser that i’m obsessed with. The Frances Prescott Tri-Balm Cleanser* (£46 from Frances Prescott) is cruelty-free and has only recently launched. This is actually quite a revolutionary cleanser, as it comes in stick form and cleanses, exfoliates AND moisturises your skin.
This cleanser is so rich and luxurious to use, and it literally melts onto the skin. You just glide the stick over your face, before massaging in the cleanser with your fingers, and then rinsing off with a hot cloth. It’s definitely a premium cleanser and the price reflects that. It contains a blend of the purest flower, plant, vegetable and seed ingredients to nourish and cleanse your skin. The stick format that it’s in also makes it incredibly travel-friendly, which is great.Tri-Balm cleanses your skin and removes makeup and impurities through a blend of botanical oils, beeswax and oats; it exfoliates your skin via pumkin seed enzymes that gently exfoliate and brighten the skin; and it moisturises and protects with Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidents e.g. Vitamin E and Blackcurrant. With the ingredients, Frances Prescott put in a lot of effort to source them from British growers and suppliers.
It’s a cleanser that really provides a lot of nourishment and nutrition to the skin, through its blend of oils. These include Carrot Tissue Oil (rich in Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and F, it has great antioxident benefits); Wheatgerm Oil (rich in Vitamin A, B and D, protective antioxidents and skin-nourishing Omega-3 fatty acids); Rice Bran Oil (this improves elasticity and plumpness, and has Vitamin B complex to stimulate circulation, Vitamin E to improve skin texture and tone, and skin-nourishing fatty acids). There’s also the essential oils of Mandarin and Geranium (which tone the skin, are antiseptics and are sebum-reducing), as well as a native English oil blend that includes nourishing blackcurrant, starflower and echium.
I find this cleanser so comforting to use as it feels so luxurious and has such a relaxing botanical scent. My skin always feels so clean, soft and happy after using it too. I’m definitely going to have to get another one of these. I think it’s great that they are supporting British growers and suppliers too, instead of just going with whoever is cheapest.
