I wanted to share with you, four new lipsticks, or lipstick shades, that I’ve been loving recently. It’s great that a lot of these are very affordable, so there’s something for every budget. It just shows that you don’t need to spend a fortune to find a great quality lipstick.Sleek MakeUP Matte Me Lipstick in That’s So Fetch – £4.99 from Boots
You’ve all seen me talk about Sleek’s Matte Me lipsticks before, but in March they launched 5 new shades. I’ve been loving this bright fuschia pink shade. These lipsticks are so pigmented and they just glide on. You only need one coat to get an even, strong colour. They aren’t the most hydrating of matte lipsticks, but they aren’t the most drying either. For a matte liquid lipstick, these are actually pretty comfortable to wear; especially for the price. They also offer long-lasting colour and don’t flake or cake.Burt’s Bees Gloss Lipstick in 516 Rose Falls – £9.99 from Feel Unique
Burt’s Bees have just expanded their range of lipsticks with the introduction of the Gloss formula. They are still 100% natural, but have a dewy, gloss finish. I’ve been loving this very nude ‘your lips but better’ shade, and I love how the formula is more dewy and balmy-looking than shiny. These are so comfortable and conditioning to wear. You do have to re-apply quite often if you are eating and drinking, but they really hydrate your lips every time you do.Avon mark. Epic Lipstick with Built-In Primer in Coral Burst – £8 from Avon
These new lipsticks from Avon have been quite hyped, so I was excited to try them. Basically these are lipsticks with a built-in primer for smooth application and long-lasting coverage. They have quite a dewy finish and are very conditioning on the lips and comfortable to wear. The finish is very smooth colour, no matter the dryness of your lips. There is absolutely no caking or flaking. I love the balm-like feel of these, and the fact that you can get that and such a powerful colour at the same time.Smashbox Always On Metallic Matte Lipstick in Vino Noir – £19 from Smashbox
I just love this burgundy and red pearl shade. It’s perfect for a night out. Smashbox launched this new metallic matte finish, and shades, in January. This formula isn’t the kindest to dry lips, so you do really need to prep your lips before applying – there’s something about the shine of the metallic finish that just accentuates lines and patchiness. These liquid lipsticks are so soft and creamy, and just glide on to the lips. You get this level of colour and coverage with just one coat. They are actually infused with Smashbox Primer Oil to keep them feeling comfortable on the lips. Once these lipsticks are on, they really are budge-proof, so it’ll be with you all day.
