April has been such an incredibly busy month for me. I went to New York for a holiday with my Mum, then I came home and went straight into working on a BBC TV drama, followed by a feature film (which i’m still currently working on until June). I’ve decided to go back to working in TV & film production, alongside running this blog and my social channels. I’m working flat out 7 days a week, but i’m managing to do them both. There’s mostly makeup favourites this month, as i’ve not been so indulgent in my skincare routine, since i’ve been so busy.Models Own Celestial Enchanted Palette – £14.99, Models Own
This is such a pretty palette that’s perfect for spring. It contains a mix of matte pastel shades and glitter nudes that you can create a whole host of striking eye looks with. The matte shades aren’t as pigmented as the glitter ones, so you do need to layer them up; but the colour range is so beautiful, it’s worth that little bit of extra work. The shade names are so cute too, and are all fairytale themed. Think about using more than one shade on different parts of your eye, to create a multi-coloured watercolour look.Tory Burch Bel Azur Eau de Parfum* – £73, Tory Burch
Now that the sun has been making frequent appearances, this fragrance has been my go-to. It’s inspired by the French Cote d’Azur, and is such a fresh, feminine scent. Every time I smell it, it immediately reminds me of the crystal clear blue sea that I loved in Monaco last year. It’s the ideal fragrance for summer, and has notes of bergamot, neroli, peony, vetiver and cedarwood. The bottle is just stunning too – who wouldn’t want this on their dressing table?!Smashbox Superfan Mascara* – £17.50, Smashbox
This new mascara from Smashbox is a real winner if you like fanned out lashes. It really lengthens your lashes and adds volume, and the shade is super-black. It has a long, thin plastic wand that’s covered in spikes, so you can really get into the base of your lashes to coat them from root to tip; whilst seperating and lifting them. It makes your lashes such a stand-out feature on your face, and it keeps them looking full all day long. It’s not waterproof, but it doesn’t transfer to my undereyes like such a lot of mascaras do.Bare Minerals barePRO 16 Hour Full Coverage Concealer* – £23, Bare Minerals
I mainly use liquid concealers as I usually find cream ones too drying on my skin. This one, however, is so hydrating and conditoning, so i’ve found myself reaching for this to conceal blemishes lately. I’ve been using my old favourite Sephora Bright Futures on my undereyes as it’s so brightening and pale and really lightens my undereyes; but, this one from Bare Minerals has been amazing at covering my blemishes and red patches. It blends beautifully, stays put all day long, and doesn’t crease or flake. It contains Bamboo Stem Extract to smooth out the look of pores and fine lines, as well as the antioxidant-rich Raspberry Seed Oil (to help defend your skin against pollution), and Blackcurrant Seed Oil and Sea Lavender to nourish and hydrate the skin.Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter* – £30, Charlotte Tilbury
When I want a minimal makeup day where my skin still looks perfected, this has been my go-to base. It gives you slight coverage, blurs imperfections and gives your skin a beautiful glow. It really makes my skin look radiant, and it gives it a soft focus, air-brushed look by minimising fine lines and pores. You can also use this as a primer under your favourite foundation, as it creates such a perfected base. I’m not too keen on the doe-foot applicator, as it just doesn’t dispense enough product, so I hope that they re-work this and put in a pump.
