I missed reporting on April’s Glossybox, but i’m back with May’s – right at the start of the month so you can get your orders in quickly if you want to grab this month’s box before it sells out. This month’s box is the Daydreamer box, so it has a beautiful themed design.
Glossybox UK* is a monthly beauty box subscription service, and you can subscribe from just £10 plus P&P per month. This month’s box (May 2018) contains a great mixture of 5 makeup, haircare, skincare and bodycare products.Let’s start with the full-size GelSpa Just For Feet Soothe Jelly Foot Soak (£4.99 from Gelicity), which actually made me squeal with delight when I saw it, as i’ve just done 3 days on the set of a BBC drama and 2 further days commuting to Edinburgh for a feature film, so my feet are literally killing me. This foot treatment is designed to calm overworked feet, and it’s basically a magic powder that turns water to gel – which is so cooling and soothing on the feet. It also have a relaxing lavender and lemongrass scent to help your mind de-stress. Everyone of you will love this product!
Next in the box is a deluxe 100ml travel size Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo and True Soft Conditioner (travel size £3.98 and £4.99 from Sally Beauty). I was so happy to see these in the box, as i’ve heard so much about this luxury Swedish brand. They are Vegan and 100% cruelty free, and they are Sulphate and Paraben Free. The shampoo is softening, strengthening and moisturising, and the conditioner is colour-protecting, frizz-reducing and deeply conditioning. These leave your hair feeling so soft, smooth, clean and healthy.
Also in the box is a full-size eyeshadow palette from Trifle Cosmetics. The Trifle Cosmetics Praline Palette (£15.99). This is a Vegan 6-shade eyeshadow palette of metallic colours. The shades are intense and are creamy powder shadows, but you do need to apply couple of layers to get that really pigmented opaque finish from my swatches. These definitely aren’t one stroke wonders, but if you put a bit of work in, you can get a really strong look from them. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend that you go out and purchase this palette, as it’s nothing amazing; but it is a nice addition to this month’s subscription box.
Finally, there’s a good eye makeup remover in the box. The full-size Kueshi Double Effect Makeup Remover (£10.50) is an oil-in-water solution that you soak a cotton pad with to remove stubborn makeup. It’s not a brand i’ve ever heard of, but it’s actually very effective at removing mascara and eyeliner. This is a useful addition to the box, that I think everyone will be happy with.
May’s box is one that will please everyone, as all 5 of the products inside are effective and universal. You also get a little tea bag treat too. If you want to subscribe now and receive this box, jump over to the Glossybox UK website to sign up!
