In Glasgow at least, I truly think that summer is over here. The days and nights are getting duller everyday, and the temperature has taken a real dip. I’m getting set for autumn by adding some new knitwear pieces to my wardrobe. I wanted to share with you some of my favourite pieces online, to give you some inspiration for your outfits for the new season.
Hayley Menzies Wanted Jumper, £220, Wolf & Badger | Prada Cable-Knit Mohair-Blend Sweater, £520, Net-a-Porter | Heart Embroidered Jumper, £39, Warehouse | Zimmermann Unbridled Cream Pompom Jumper, £700, Harvey Nichols | Black You, Me, Qui Sweater, £99, Whistles |
I love this ‘Wanted’ jumper from Brit designer Hayley Menzies. It’s made with high-quality Italian wool and is just really fun. There is nothing nicer on a cosy day at home than a big warm jumper. This Prada one is pink (so I automatically love it) and is in a chic cable-knit design.
How cute is this Warehouse heart jumper?! I love it’s small, delicate print as it looks classic and playful at the same time. I do love a good pompom, so I adore this cream jumper from the brand Zimmermann. It’s another really cosy number.
Slogan jumpers and t-shirts are my thing. If I see one I love, I just have to buy it. This Whistles one is cute and very high-quality. Qui? You can’t beat yellow to really cheer up and outfit and a day. I need this mustard heart-print jumper from Oasis in my wardrobe.Striped Top in Poppy Red & White, £149, Denner Cashmere | Junarose Frill Detail Knitted Jumper, £35, ASOS | ‘She Who Dares’ Slogan Jumper, £36, Topshop | Friday Slogan Jumper, £28, Simply Be | Markus Lupfer Sequinned Lip Motif Merino Wool Jumper, £360, Selfridges | Multi-Coloured Stripe Ribbed Top, £17.99, New Look
Denner Cashmere is a cute London brand that i’m really happy I came across. Their cashmere pieces are 100% cashmere and that cashmere is all ethically-sourced – they comb the hair of Mongolian goats, rather than sheer them. I also love ASOS Curve, as they are a plus-size brand that actually put effort into creating interesting and colourful pieces. If the weather is bad, I always like to add a bit of colour to my outfit in protest.
I love the ‘She Who Dares’ jumper from Topshop. It’s very casual and a bit like a Varsity jumper, but with that empowering feminine slogan. I think it’s a nice juxtaposition. When it comes to plus-size clothing, Simply Be is definitely my go-to place, as they create some really fashion-forward, fun and expensive-looking clothing. This Friday jumper is a great example of that.
I adore Markus Lupfer knitwear as they are always really fun and eye-catching pieces. This lip design looks so cool. I’m really into colourful rainbow striped jumpers at the moment, and this from New Look one has slightly more muted, autumnal colours; making it great for the new season.
