Happy Friday! For this week’s Face Mask Friday post, i’m reviewing the Pixi Glow-O2 Oxygen Mask – a mask that’s designed to revitalise skin and add radiance. The Pixi Glow-O2 Oxygen Mask* (£26 from Cult Beauty) comes in Pixi’s iconic mint green packaging and looks so chic. If you have dull, tired skin at times, this is a mask for you. This is a great one to use before a night out, if you’ve had a long, boring day at work and need to give your skin a freshen and a boost. It’s also great if you live or work in this city, as it gives your starved skin a good dose of clean oxygen. It also contains vitamins, detoxifying and awakening caffeine, antioxidants (e.g. ginseng) to protect your skin from environmental damage, and probiotics to strengthen your skin’s natural defences. After using this, your skin will look a lot less tired, fresh and healthy.
When you pump out the product, it will come out as a clear gel. As soon as you start to apply this to your face, it will turn white and will froth slightly. It’s not like a bubble mask, so it doesn’t massively expand in size – it just changes colour and consistency. You’ll feel a slight tingling sensation, and then you wipe it off with a damp flannel after 3 minutes. This is such a quick and easy way to give your skin a boost of health, and add some natural radiance and freshness to your complexion. The instructions say to use this mask ‘once a week or as needed’, but it’s definitely one that you could use every day as it’s only adding goodness to your skin and counteracting the environmental effects of working or living in the city.
This is definitely a mask that i’m going to continue to use. I’m really liking the rise of these speed masks that are coming out from brands, as not everyone has half an hour in their day to sit down and put on a sheet mask, so these are a great alternative. If your skin suffers from dullness and fatigue, this is for sure a mask to try.
