The end of summer is a bit of a strange point in the year for Too Faced to launch a collection like this, but it looks a lot of fun, so I had to test it out. The Too Faced Tutti Fruiti Collection is fruit-inspired and full of holiday vibes, and it even tastes and smells as good as it looks.
I’m teasing you a bit with this, as it’s only available in one UK store (Carnaby St, London), and is available in the US exclusively at Ulta. So if you are a US reader, or are visiting the country soon, you’ll be able to get your hands on this quite easily. Some bits in the collection are great, and others aren’t, so it’s a bit hit and miss. I’d urge you to really look at swatches online before you order any of the collection that i’ve not reviewed here, as quality does vary.Like all Too Faced collections, this one is a lot of fun. I love the fact that the products smell and even taste so fruity too. There is a massive 53 brand new products in this range and I have a selection of bits to show you. The Too Faced Tutti Fruit Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glazes* (£16 from Too Faced) are really nice. They come in 12 candy-like colours, are highly glossy (but not sticky), have good staying power and are highly pigmented, so you get the deep colours with just one stripe. I have the shades Yummy Rummy (a rusty metallic), Show Me Your Coconuts (a pale nude) and Home Slice (a muted pale pink). Yummy Rummy is a bit too brown and metallic for me to wear, but the other two shades are perfect for me.I’ve also been testing out the Too Faced Tutti Fruiti Twinkle Twinkle Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow* (£18 from Too Faced) come in 8 different shades. You’ll see from my two swatches that the colour payoff varies quite a bit. The blue Ice Queen shade is blue glitter in a clear base, but the rusty brown Citrus Mistress shade is much more pigmented. The glitter is multi-dimensional and the finish is very glossy. These don’t dry down completely, so on me they do crease a bit. The blue glitter shade isn’t one that I would usually wear, but I really like the other one, and I have something very similar from Pixi Beauty.Too Faced have also launched 4 Tutti Fruit Fruit Cocktails Strobing Blush Duos* (£25 from Pixi Beauty). I have two of the shades – the duo-tone peachy pink and deep pink Strobeberry, and the gold and dark pink-coral Apricot in the Act. These are really creamy powder blushers that are highly pigmented and have zero fallout. One side has a highlighting shimmer finish and the other side is matte. You can either use them both seperately, or you can mix the two together for a shimmery blush. These are so pretty and they blend so beautifully and are very buildable. I’ll definitely be taking these into autumn with me.I’ve also been testing the Too Faced Tutti Fruiti Fresh Squeezed Highlighter Drops* (£25). These come in two shade options, and they look so stunning in the bottle. Unfortunately they don’t live up to that first impression once the product gets onto your skin. I have the duo-tone peach and pink shade Sparkling Pink Grapefruit. These highlighter drops are very runny and are more of a shimmer oil than a highlighter drop. They add shine and glitter to the skin, not colour. I think i’ll use these on my upcoming winter sun holiday as a shimmer body oil, but I don’t think they work for the face. I really shook the bottle too, incase that was why I was getting no payoff, but it didn’t make difference. The formula is very lightweight, so it would be great to add some shine to your shoulders or decolletage. Too Faced also say that you can use these to add some glow to your foundation or moisturiser too.
If you are only going to pick up one or two pieces from the collection, my pick would be a blusher duo as these are so pretty, versatile and pigmented. You can even wear them as eyeshadows! This post contains press samples, but all opinions are my own.
