Image Skincare have added two new sheet masks to their roster in the last month, and i’ve been testing them out for this week’s Face Mask Friday post. Sheet masks are my favourite type of mask and i’ve been enjoying their new Hydrating and Anti-Ageing masks. These masks are made of incredibly thin hydrogel (so more of the serum will penetrate your skin compared to fibre masks) and they are instantly cooling. I like to keep mine in the fridge as it’s such an extra refreshing treat for my skin. The masks mould to the contours of your face perfectly and are very comfortable to wear. Perfect for pampering sessions! You can tell that these are high quality masks (not just from their £7 per mask price tag) with carefully sourced ingredients. They are expensive, and there are similar sheet masks on the high street for half this price, but you are guaranteed good results with these, and they aren’t too expensive if you just use them weekly or for special occasions.
The Image Skincare I Mask Anti Ageing Hydrogel Sheet Mask* (£35 for 5 from Image Skincare) is contains mineral-rich Onsen-Sui & Jeju volcanic waters from Japan, to hydrate and leave skin plump and dewy. They also contains brightening botanicals, anti-aging peptides (tiny proteins that help the skin to repair and trigger collagen synthesis), as well as skin-protecting antioxidants. This mask hydrates and plumps the skin, which reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It also brightens the skin and gives it a healthy, dewy appearance. The Image Skincare I Mask Hydrating Hydrogel Sheet Masks* (£35 for 5 from Image Skincare) also contains hydrating mineral-rich waters, as well as moisture superstar Hyaluronic Acid. There are also antioxidants to protect skin from environmental pollutants, amino acids (the building blocks of collagen) and soothing Aloe Vera. This mask is instantly cooling and soothing. It delivers a huge burst of moisture to the skin, relieving dry and dehydrated skin. It also gives life to dull and tired skin, by making it look plump, fresh and healthy.
If I was you, I would always opt for the Anti-Ageing masks, as they also deliver a huge amount of moisture to the skin, and leave skin with just as plump, dewy, radiant and healthy an appearance as the Hydrating masks. I don’t think you need both. If you like to invest in your skincare and like to do regular masks, I would definitely try these out as they are great quality and deliver excellent results.
