I’m so incredibly busy just now, working on a US-drama series; but I wanted to put together a post sharing the products and items that I’ve been loving this Spring – March, April and the first part of May – that I haven’t been able to share with you already.
Balance Me Tri-Molecular Hyaluronic Serum* – £30, Balance Me
I’m always on the lookout for a good quality Hyaluronic Acid serum as I apply one every morning and night. This new one from Balance Me is great. It has three different sizes of molecules so that it can penetrate into the deeper layers of skin. It contains four different types of Hyaluronic Acid too. This difference in molecule type and weight makes it a much more effective serum than single molecule ones. It’s 98% natural too. It delivers moisture deep into the skin to plump it and rejuvenate it. It’s non-sticky and instantly makes my skin look and feel healthier.Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Body Builder* – £10 Travel Size & £23 Full Size, Living Proof
My hair is quite thin, so it can look really flat when down or worn in a ponytail. This is the best root lift and volume-giver that I have tried in a long time. It’s volume and lift that lasts due to the hold this spray also gives, without being at all sticky. It’s also really easy to brush out at the end of the day, and doesn’t leave any visible trace. If you want loads of volume in your hair, you can turn the nozzle fully, or you can adjust it just a little bit for a more natural look. At any strength, your hair will look and feel light with lots of movement. If all that isn’t enough, it also adds subtle shine and smells good too. Everyone should have this in their arsenal for their next inevitable ‘bad hair day’.
Instytutum Resurfacing Glow Toner* – £47 from Skincity
We all know that I love an acid toner and that I use one every morning. It’s how my skin stays clear and bright. I’ve been using this one for the last couple of months, and loving it. Not only has it got the skin brightening and exfoliating Glycolic Acid (6%), but there’s also hydrating and skin-plumping Hyaluronic Acid, calming Chamomile, as well as skincare hero ingredient Niacinamide, that targets enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles etc. to make your skin surface stronger and more uniform. It’s not the liquid toner that you might expect, as it has a thicker consistency, almost like a runny liquid gel. I apply some on a cotton pad and then wipe across my skin.ADEXE Mini Sistine Watch* – £89, ADEXE
I already have an ADEXE Sistine Watch, but when they released their mini versions, I was so excited to receive one. These are smaller and daintier looking watches that would more than likely be prefered by females. I love large watches, but this mini version is much sleeker and smarter for a fancy night out or event, whereas I think watches with larger faces are more casual. I love the rose gold mesh strap, and the black face is stunning. It’s pretty and is a great quality piece.

Givenchy Le Rose Perfecto Lip Balm in 201 Timeless Pink* – £28, Feel Unique
I do love a good tinted lip balm, and i’d much rather wear this than a lipstick or even a lip gloss. These are very fancy and very dainty lip balms that have a really good colour pay-off. The packaging is very cute and girly too, if that’s your thing. The shade 201 is a bright bubblegum pink shade. The texture is creamy, and it hydrates, plumps and smoothes lips for comfortable, lip-conditioning wear all day long. The lip-conditioning comes from the shea butter ingredient, and it realy enriches your lips.

Bare Minerals BAREPRO Longwear Lipstick in Petal* – £20, Bare Minerals
A lipstick i’ve been loving for nights out is a new release from Bare Minerals. Their BAREPRO Longwear Lipsticks are also slim-lined and they are Vegan too! They really pack a punch colour-wise, and they just glide onto the lips. Their formula will condition your lips and feel comfortable all day, while offering budge-proof colour and natural shine. Petal is a classic pink-toned nude that goes with everything, day or night.Batiste Dry Shampoo in Limited Edition Tempt – £2.99, Superdrug
I use dry shampoo multiple days per week to try to delay having to wash my hair. I’ve been loving this limited edition scent from cult high-street dry shampoo brand Baptiste. Tempt comes in a pretty red and purple floral can, and it smells very sensual, with oriental and woody notes. I love it as it has a clear rose scent to it too. It’s feminine and it goes well with my favourite rose fragrances.Jonathan Ward Cennmor Candle – £40, Jonathan Ward
This candle looks so elegant, and it smells so fresh and spring-like. To me this has a dominant scent of freshly cut grass, which is a lovely home fragrance for this time of year. There are also delicate floral notes too. It’s inspired by the green landscape of the Scottish Highlands at the time of King Malcolm. There are top notes of spearmint and sage; a heart of honeysuckle, clover and vetiver; and base notes of Scottish pine, jasmine and moss. This candle is such high-quality and it burns beautifully, giving off a powerful but not overpowering scent. Jonathan Ward candles are all hand-made in the UK, at every stage of the candle making process. Their wax is also certified by the Soil Association as being organic – it’s a blend of organic coconut oil, beeswax and vegetable wax. I can’t wait to discover more from this brand!Omorovicza Peachy Micellar Cleansers* – £35, Omorovicza
This cute pastel peachy tub contains 60 textured cleansing and exfolitating pads, that remove stubborn makeup and exfolitate the skin with the noduled texture. These are pricey, but if you need to remove makeup on-the-go, these are far better than the dreaded makeup wipe. They are soaked in a natural micellar solution that breaks down daily grime, oil and makeup (even waterproof). There’s also rose flower water too, which will soothe the skin. These are very effective little pads for emergencies, and they have a lovely, subtle peach and patchouli scent.
Potion London Collagen Boost Food Supplements* – £30 for 60, Potion London
I can’t say that these work, because there’s so much debate about whether they actually do anything or not. At the end of the day, nothing except invasive cosmetic procedures will be able to ‘turn back time’ / reverse the signs of ageing. However, I am lucky enough to have no visible signs of ageing yet (at 35) as I sleep well, wear SPF and take great care of my skin through skin care and treatments. I am willing to try any tablets or potion if it claims to be able to keep my skin firm and plump. All I can say is that over the last couple of months of taking these, my skin has never looked more healthy and youthful. Coincidence? Maybe. But 3 of these capsules at bedtime are easy to take, do you no harm and are relatively inexpensive. I’m in – especially as collagen purports to be also be able to aid joint movement, aid sleep and support muscle growth.Alex Steinherr x Primark Plump & Glow Facial in a Stick – £5, Primark
I just haven’t got on with very much of Primark’s skincare at all. Up until the release of this collaborative collection with former Glamour Magazine Beauty Director Alex Steinherr, I don’t think they have done skincare well at all. I met with Alex a couple of months ago to talk through her range, and I was blown away with her line-up of products. She has made effective skincare available to everyone for just a couple of £s per item. Obviously the ingredients aren’t as top-notch as you get in more expensive brands, but this collection of products do what they say on the tin. One product in particular that I’ve been loving and that I keep in my desk drawer, is the multi-purpose Primark X Alex Steinherr Plump & Glow Facial in a Stick. There are so many ways that you can use this – as a balm cleanser, as an intensive mask, on areas of dry skin all over your body, on your nails to condition your cuticles, or just as an added super-moisturiser when your skin needs some extra TLC and is feeling dry. I really only use it to swipe across my face when it feels like it needs an extra burst of conditioning moisture which I then gently pat and rub in with my fingers. It contains conditioning oils, plumping Hyaluronic Acid, skin brightening Dragon Fruit and moisture-keeping Cactus Flower Extract. It makes my skin feel SO soft!

Miu Miu Heart Sunglasses in Red* – £179, SmartBuyGlasses
The guys over at SmartBuyGlasses asked me if I wanted to choose a pair of designer glasses or sunglasses to feature here on my blog. I chose the iconic Miu Miu heart sunglasses as i’ve always thought that they looked so cute. They are a really nice way to add a little fun to an otherwise plain outfit.
