Your bedroom is one of the most important rooms in your house. It’s where you sleep (which is vital to staying alive and being productive at work), and it’s where you relax without any outside influences. It’s a private space where house guests don’t usually enter, so your decor choices should be all about expressing yourself and meeting your own needs.
I wanted to share with you some bedroom spaces that I am currently loving on Pinterest. If you follow me on there, you will have a good idea of my style. I like neutral colours with pops of colour and gold/coppers. I love boho style decor, prints and textures, as well as some lovely fresh greenery or flowers as accents.1 – Industrial Oak Bedroom via Pinterest and Cotswolds Co
I love the heavy use of wood in this first room, as it contrasts well with the green plants. In furniture terms, this is a fairly minimalist room, but the focus is on high-quality pieces that will last for decades. This is actually a retailer image, so you can purchase this stunning oak wardrobe from Cotswolds Co – Appleby Oak Wardrobe (£849). I love the hints of industrialness in this room also, with the radiator, exposed brick work and copper piping. This room manages to marry several design trends very well, to create a stunning and unique space.2 – Palm Leaf Print Statement Wall via Pinterest and Wallgur & Fugar
I also love the use of a statement wall. Whether that’s via a gallery wall of framed prints and quotes, vibrant and busy wallpaper on just one wall, or a mural on one wall. I love palm leaf print and I think it’s something that works all year round – it’s a popular motif and to me it signifies freedom, nature and calm. Tip – i’ve found a great site to get palm leaf print / palm tree print wallpaper – it’s called Wallsauce and they’re a UK company who ship internationally. They have an amazing range of designs and colours to fit this theme.
3 – Colourful Bedroom via Pinterest and Studio 52
I love the various uses of pink in this second space, as it’s my favourite colour. The walls and floors are neutral, but they use the furniture and accessories to add the pops of bright colour. The ‘worn’, pink-toned rug appeals to my current love for boho interiors, and I love the simple, chic gold and glass bedside table. The gold feet on the bed are also an eye-catching addition.4 – Tranquil Grey Bedroom via Pinterest and Houzwee
I love grey interiors and the multi-use of the different tones creates a true statement room. I love the simple, minimalist prints on the walls, and the further use of stark, contrasting white in the bed textiles, lamp and bedside table. This is a very clean and basic room that will never go out of style. It’s all about texture and cosiness.
5 – Chic Coral Bedroom via Pinterest and Urban Oufitters
This summer, in fashion terms, burnt orange is one of my favourite colours, so I love the use of it in this bedroom. It’s a current trend, but the rest of the room is blush pink and gold, so will go with a huge variety of bedspreads when you want to switch this out. It’s a real rustic and boho colour that screams mediteranean summers, so it goes well with the simple boho print rug and the green plants. The addition of the huge, gold-trimmed mirror makes the room look much larger and more detailed that it actually is too.6 – Soft Pink & Neutrals Bedroom via Pinterest and Domino
Who doesn’t love the idea of a four-poster bed, as it makes the task of going to bed at night feel like a much more luxurious and special occassion. This very minimalist four-poster bed frame means that this piece of furniture can transcend so many trends and room decor changes. This feels like more of a guest bedroom space to me, as opposed to a master bedroom – as it’s very country chic and takes no risks in terms of furniture, textiles of accents. It’s a space that everyone would like the look of, as it’s clean, comfortable and simple.
7 – Rustic Luxe Bedroom via Pinterest and Studio 52
I love the white walls and exposed brickwork that’s juxtaposed with opulant-feeling, colourful and stylish furniture. Statement coloured chairs (especially pink ones) are a real love of mine, and this sofa totally transforms this very simple white and pale wood room all on its own. If you have quite simple and neutral rooms, adding a colourful and luxe sofa or chair will really make your room come alive again. This bedroom is comfortable, practical and that bit special with it’s pink velvet settee.8 – Colourful Boho Bedroom via Pinterest and Boca Do Lobo
The contrasting prints in this room really make my heart sing! I love that bright and elaborate bedspread, teamed with the contrasting boho monochrome rug. There is also, of course, have that statement pink velvet chair which goes beautifully in the room and picks up the touches of pink on the duvet cover. It’s a rustic, wooden, boho space, with some wild colour and contrasting prints to really bring it alive.

9 – Neutral Boho Bedroom via Pinterest and Nikola Kosterman
Texture is everything in this very cream, neutral room. It’s the fabrics and textures that add that boho feel to the room – with the woven elements, wicker elements and rope. The green shrubery and flowers really bring this pale bohemian room alive, and the Morrocan-style headboard fits in perfectly.
