This is my first Face Mask Friday post in a while! Kickstarting the series back off again, is this skin priming sheet mask from Seoulista Beauty. Seoulista are a UK mask brand that create their products using Korean technology – the country that began the sheet mask obsession. Seoulista Beauty only launched in 2018, and they have already won 12 beauty awards. Let’s see if this mask lives up to that reputation.
The Seoulista Rosy Glow Primer Mask* (£5.50 from Seoulista) is designed to create a smooth and radiant base for makeup, in just 5 minutes. It claims to hydrate and plump, improve tone and texture, and minimise pores for an airbrush effect. I can’t comment on it’s pore diminishing skills, as luckily I have pores that aren’t really noticeable anyway, but when it comes to hydrating and plumping the skin, this mask is great and fast! It also smoothes out the texture of the skin and gives a glow that improves tone.
It has a whole host of top active ingredients; so the science in it speaks for itself. There’s Niacinamide to minimise pores and soften lines and wrinkles (as well as brightening and evening tone); AHAs to exfoliate and brighten; Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump the skin; Eucalyptus to calm inflammation and diminish redness, and Bulgarian Rose Oil to moisturise and act as an additional anti-inflammatory.
This is a mask that you would put on prior to applying makeup to have that glow shining through; or on those days where you want to go makeup-free but want that coveted Korean ‘glass skin’ look. This mask ticks all my boxes – this is exactly how I like my skin to look. It also works its magic in just 5 minutes; although the longer you can leave it on the better, until it drys out obviously. It’s affordable too, if you use them only before special occasions and nights out.
Good skin really is the key to good makeup. Even the best and most expensive makeup in the world, won’t look amazing on poorly conditioned skin. If you want to get your glow from your skincare rather than a highlighter, and you want to give your makeup the best base possible to sit on, I really recommend that you try out this sheet mask. It’s a winner for me!
