Spring is nearly here, and it brings with it a sense of renewal and the desire to ‘spring clean’ our entire lives. I try so much skincare all the time; but I wanted to really nail down a ‘wishlist’ of products I want to try before spring is over. This wishlist is very much social media-enabled; but I make no apologies! I’m a proud skincare addict and i’m excited to get round to trying these products. I hope you find something that you are keen to try in here too!
FRESH Sugar Caramel Hydrating Lip Balm | Panasonic Facial Cleansing Brush | Allies of Skin 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask | Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub | Farmacy Honey Potion | REN Jelly Cleanser | Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream Mist | aime Sleep & Glow | Summer Fridays CC Me Serum | Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Hydrating Mask
FRESH Sugar Caramel Hydrating Lip Balm – £15, Space NK
I love Fresh lip balms already, and I love lip balms and glosses that have sweet scents. This one just looks good enough to eat. It’s limited edition and it comes with little stickers you can customise the pot with. What more do I need to say?! It’s formulated with natural emoliants and humectant oils, so it will moisturise your lips and keep that moisture locked in for, they say, 24-hours. It just looks so good, and I need it!
Panasonic Facial Cleansing Brush EH XC10- £99
It’s been a long time since i’ve used a facial cleansing brush with actual bristles. The last one was probably Clinique’s. I’ve been using silicone facial cleansing devices for many years now and have loved them; but as i’m getting older I feel like my skin needs more exfoliation. I’m a chemical exfoliator, with acid toners and peels; but I wanted to throw a cleansing brush into the mix again to see how my skin likes it and to see if it will up that glow. This one comes with a regular head, and a mini one to get in around the nose etc. It’s also gently warming on the skin.
Allies of Skin 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask – £112, Space NK
There is so much hype on Instagram about Allies of Skin at the moment, as Caroline Hirons has said she rates the brand highly. Their products are quite pricey, but there’s only really one that super interests me and it’s this overnight mask. So, peptides and Vitamin A work against signs of ageing, antioxidants protect the skin, brightening ingredients brighten and even out skin tone discolourations, and it’s also extremely hydrating and moisturising. Is there anything this product can’t do?
Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub – £34, Boots
This is another product that I want to try because of all the hype, and because Caroline Hirons liked it. I’m not a fan of physical exfoliating scrubs; but this one does both physical and chemical and is so gentle but so effective. There’s fruit enzymes, AHAs & BHAs and soft exfoliating particles, so it’s a triple whammy. I like the sound of the milky texture and all the Instagram reports of its serious glow-boosting abilities.
Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream Mist – £13, Cult Beauty
I’ve used a cream mist before, from a little luxury French brand Neomist and I loved it. It feels like a facial mist but on turbo power. It feels extra hydrating and moisturising and is really light. I love the original Dr Jart Ceramidin for when I need to repair my moisture barrier, and I think this cream mist would be a great addition to anyone’s skincare routine. Ultimate skin comfort!Farmacy Honey Potion – £36, Cult Beauty
Honey is a hot ingredient in skincare at the moment, and it’s just so nourishing and comforting. I’ve been wanting to try this product for a long time as it’s raved about everywhere. It transforms from that honey-like syrup texture, into a cream when massaged into the skin. The healing honey revitalises dry, stressed skin as its a natural humectant and antibacterial. This mask sounds comforting, plumping and protecting.
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum – £57 Cult Beauty
Is there any skincare addict out there who doesn’t love the famous trio of Summer Fridays masks? Now they have a serum and it sounds amazing. The CC Me Serum delivers moisture to the skin along with two powerul forms of Vitamin C – to brighten, reduce dark spots and pigmentation, and hydrate. There’s squalene to lock in moisture, and peptides to plump and promote collagen production.
Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Masque – £44, Space NK
I’m a huge Drunk Elephant fan and I love everything I have from the brand. This is their latest release and it’s a hydrating mask – two of my favourite skincare words, along with ‘glow’. It’s got squalene, niacinamide, fatty acids and antioxidants. It’s cooling, and it helps to deeply moisturise and boost the skin’s moisture barrier. It promises to support and plump your skin as you sleep.
REN Jelly Cleanser – £25, Feel Unique
My favourite cleanser (that’s not a balm) is Glossier’s famous Milky Jelly Cleanser. So when I saw that there was another ‘jelly cleanser’ in town, it got me intrigued. REN are a great, quality skincare brand, and this cleanser transforms from jelly to oil to milk. It sounds amazing, and I’d love to try it out as a morning cleanser. It’s gentle and 100% naturally derived.
aime Sleep & Glow – £39, aime
This small independent brand caught my eye with it’s name for this product – ‘Sleep and Glow’. If only life was so easy! This is more of a skincare supplement than skincare itself; but it’s designed to promote sleep so that your skin can repair itself during the night. If you are less tired and stressed, your skin will look healthier and brighter – that’s the idea. This tincture contains natural sleep hormone Melatonin, to help your body fall into that deep restorative sleep.
You can see more of what I’m loving, and what I’m doing, over on my Instagram.
