I’ve been testing out this mask from Antipodes over the last couple of weeks and I love it. You see and feel results immediately. It feels so rich and luxurious to use and the packaging is so minimalist and chic. Honey is such a hot skincare ingredient right now, as it has some incredible benefits.
Antipodes are such a beautiful brand from New Zealand. Their products are organic and natural, and certified Vegetarian in the UK. This is a true green beauty brand and this is my favourite product of theirs that I’ve tried to date. This mask comes in a recyclable aluminium tube and a 100% biodegradable cardboard box, made from trees in a sustainable forest. This is a great mask for all skin conditions – in particular, dry skin or acne-prone skin. The Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask*** (£26.99 from Naturisimo) is now one of my favourite masks. It’s designed to be used twice weekly and I like to really layer this cream mask on quite thick and leave it for 15-25 minutes. There’s no reason that you couldn’t use this mask more often than that if you wanted to. This intensely hydrating mask is also incredibly softening and antibacterial; making it great for those with dry, dehydrated or blemish-prone skin.

The hero ingredient is Manuka Honey, a natural humectant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. It draws moisture to the skin and locks it in and it’s great at treating breakouts as it cleanses the skin of bacteria and calms red, angry skin. This is because Manuka Honey has a particularly high level of methylglyoxal compared to other honeys – a compound from the nectar of the Manuka flower.
Another key ingredient is Pohutukawa flowers, which also condition and moisturise the skin. They are also packed with antioxidants and have antiseptic properties. That’s two powerful ingredients that are both doing the same thing. This mask really proves itself and it has a lovely natural vanilla scent from vanilla pods too.The cream is rich, but still relatively lightweight, and my skin drinks it in, leaving a surface layer that draws and locks in moisture into the skin and treats skin inflammations and blemishes. I can’t think of any skin type that wouldn’t benefit from this mask. It’s a lovely treat for the skin.
