Happy Friday! I hope you all have a nice weekend planned – enjoy but stay safe! This week’s face mask post is a review of Strivectin’s Multi-Action Blue Rescue Clay Renewal Mask that’s designed for skin renewal and radiance. Like all of Strivectin’s products, it’s quite pricey; but you can get a 15% discount if you subscribe to their newsletter.
The Strivectin Multi-Action Blue Rescue Clay Renewal Mask* (£47 from Strivectin) is designed for those whose skin looks dull and lifeless, to give it a boost of radiance and a look of health. Over the years, you won’t find a lot of clay mask reviews on this blog in comparison to every other type of mask. I don’t use them often and only really reach for them is my skin is playing up and I have a hormonal breakout. I find that clay masks usually leave my skin tight and dry. This one, however, doesn’t harden or set and it puts so much moisture into the skin as well as doing a great job at purifying it and shrinking pores.hThis mask is made from a light clay that is massage-activated. I apply it to my skin with a brush and then gently massage it. This releases the encapsulated Blue Algae Extract, which turns the mask on your face from white to blue. Quite cool! You then leave the mask on for 10 minutes before wiping off with a damp flannel. 93% of surveyed users agreed their skin felt more hydrated and I agree. This mask also refines the look of the skin and gives it a healthy, renewed radiance. As well as this, fine lines are plumped and smoothed.
The key ingredients in this mask are Blue Algae Extract (to soothe the skin, nourish it and reduce the appearance of lines); Probiotic Ferment (to balance and renew tired skin) and White Clay (to draw out impurities and refine pores). There’s also Shea Butter (an anti-inflammatory full of nourishing fatty acids) and Red Seaweed (to hydrate and soothe). It’s such an enjoyable mask to use and it doesn’t feel heavy or drying on the skin. It’s definitely a clay mask that you could use more than once per week if you needed to. If you feel your skin looks tired or that your pores need purifying; this would be a good gentle but effective mask for you.
