No matter what type of social event you are planning, you can design invitations yourself online that look just as chic as when you hire a stationer to do it for you. You can either print them yourself onto some good quality card or you can send the invitations out to your guests digitally. For some events, such as weddings, formal printed invitations are still the correct way to invite people; however for less formal gatherings like Christmas Eve parties, online invitations are generally expected now. You can also create matching Instagram highlight covers and Stories layouts for all those photos and videos you post! It’s time to get creative and design that consistent look that runs through all aspects of your upcoming event.

A cheese and wine evening invitation
If you are holding a small gathering at your home, it makes sense to design your own invitations. You can then either email them or print them out and pop them through the letterboxes of your friends and neighbours. I always think a minimalist invitation works best, with just one or two images and a simple font. You could have one large image as the background by just increasing its transparency so that your text stands out on top, or you could arrange just a couple of svgs around your text. Whatever event you are having, there are images for it on Design Bundles!A Christmas Eve party Instagram post
If you want to give your Instagram a very edited, professional look, you could design post borders, Stories templates and highlights covers using some Christmas clip art and festive fonts available as affordable or free bundles on the Design Bundles site. Their range of free Christmas svg and low-cost svg bundles is immense, so you are sure to find something that fits your style. If you already use templates that you have designed on Instagram, it would be easy to keep to your theme, but just add a small festive element temporarily for the season. It would be fun to do this for your birthday week, Halloween season and Valentine’s month too. You could then use your festive bundles to create Christmas cards, gift tags and placecards!
A children’s birthday party place settings
I think that watercolour clip art and illustrations add a more tasteful look to children’s party invitations, compared to some of the more gaudier cartoon images available online. The invitations can still be fun, colourful and inviting to children; but have that more expensive, chic look to them. Team these drawn or painted images with some minimalist block capital text or a beautiful calligraphy font and then print onto high quality, thick card. You can then use the rest of the images from the design bundle you’ve purchased to make name place cards or to add name tags onto the children’s goodie bags. You can even design some matching writing paper or postcard for your child to send to their friends afterwards to thank them for their gifts.
The list of other things in your life that you could design and customise with Design Bundles is endless. From pantry jar labels and school jotter labels, to return address labels, gift tags and bookmarks. The only limit is your imagination. Just download the bundles you want and you have access to those images and fonts forever to use however you wish. It could be a great way to get kids involved in crafting too. I know that when I was younger, I loved everything personalised with my name on it; so this could be a lot more affordable way to do that. The same can be said with the birthday flyer, as it offers you a personalised option to invite friends & family to your party night.
