This week’s Face Mask Friday post is from Dalton Marine Cosmetics, a company that I hadn’t heard of until they sent me these sheet masks. I love a bio-cellulose mask as they work so much better than fibre masks. I’ve been really impressed by these ones!
The Dalton Marine Cosmetics Universal Face Care Bio-Cellulose Masks* (30 Euros for 3 from Dalton Marine Cosmetics), as the name suggests, are bio-cellulose masks. These are much more effective than traditional fibre sheet masks at getting your skin to absorb the serum it is soaked it. They also adhere much better to the face and stay in place until you want to take them off. It essentially feels like a second skin. This Dalton Marine Cosmetics mask is a sustainable mask that’s made from the milk and fibers of coconuts. This brand is based around the skincare properties of the sea and all the minerals it contains.
These masks are designed to give your skin a huge burst of hydration to moisturise and plump this skin; whilst also having a lifting and firming effect. The hydration comes from the Hyaluronic Acid; which is multi-molecular, so will penetrate deeper into the skin. The hydration is long-lasting and this input of moisture helps to plump the skin and fill out lines and wrinkles. These masks also contain Plankton extract (hence the ‘Marine’ element of the brand’s name). Plankton has a lifting effect on the skin, which also helps to combat some of those visible signs of ageing. Plankton extract is also known to help increase collagen and elastin production, helping you get more long-term results.
You remove the mask from its packet, place it onto the face and spread out any wrinkles to get that snug, ‘second skin’-like look. You then leave it on for 20 minutes, before massaging in any excess serum. I actually like to to leave this mask on a lot longer than this, providing it hasn’t gone dry and my skin hasn’t absorbed all the serum already. It’s an award-winning mask and I can see why. My skin looks and feels softer and smoother after using this mask. It gives me a hydrated, youthful glow and leaves my skin looking so healthy and plump. I will definitely be using these masks again. They are mid-priced masks; but they are definitely worth it.
