Taking medicine is something that most of us do without really thinking about it. I am on so many different prescription drugs for mental health and for Fibromyalgia. They help, but some of the side effects aren’t great. I wouldn’t stop taking my prescribed medication, but i’ve learnt that supplementing it with more natural remedies really helps. I will be on my OCD medication for life, but if you have mild anxiety, you may find that natural remedies could do the job just as well as prescribed medication. It’s important to try different options to see what works best for you.
It goes without saying, however, that you should always consult your prescribing doctor before you add any natural remedies on top of prescribed medication, as there are lots of possible interactions that could leave you feeling even worse!
There may well be a natural remedy that could be successful in overcoming an illness, pain or problem in your life. In many cases, a more natural approach may not only be better for your body, but also be better for the environment too. As more people become aware of the dangers of some prescription drugs, and a heavy reliance on painkillers in particular; it’s becoming clear that we all need to think about trying out some potentially safer and more holistic approaches to your health. There are fewer side effects associated with natural remedies
Most natural remedies are weaker than prescription medication, but it also means that they’re less likely to come with some kind of side effect. This is obviously not always the case, which is why speaking to your doctor about potential interactions is important. Natural remedies are powerful and can cause bad side effects if mixed with some prescription medications. For example, St. John’s Wort shouldn’t be taken with some anti-depressants. Neither should Valerian Root.
However, since the overall effect of natural rememdies is smaller and subtler, there is less chance of it producing adverse symptoms or causing a strong reaction in your body, compared to prescription medication. This can be a huge deal for people that typically experience side effects such as vomiting, drowsiness or dizziness after taking certain types of medicine.

It’s good to keep in mind that side effects can vary from person to person. Some may experience side effects that are more common in women than men, and others might be affected due to their age or weight. As everyone’s situation is different, you’ll want to keep a record of the side effects you experience so you can get a better understanding of what medication is causing it and what alternatives are available. Always remember that even though it’s natural it can still have side effects. For more information on CBD side effects check out this post.More research is being poured into natural remedies
You’d actually be surprised at how much research is being poured into a number of different natural remedies. You can see just how many different cannabis products are available from websites like Finest Labs and many more, which reflects the extensive research and development being put into natural remedies. A good example is CBD, a natural remedy that is derived from the cannabis plant. While many people associate cannabis and marijuana with weed and getting high, there are actually some positive compounds in the plant that can help relieve depression, anxiety, pain and even cancer symptoms. Learning how to calculate CBD dosage is important when taking a natural remedy, as is choosing the best CBD for pain relief. With all natural remedies that can be purchased online, you’ll want to speak with your doctor to ensure that you won’t experience strange side effects or a negative reaction before you start taking it.

Natural remedies and alternative medicines are more popular than ever these days. Many doctors actually recommend them as an alternative if you’re uncomfortable taking certain types of medication – for example, some people have a fear of becoming reliant on painkillers and they might appreciate a natural pain reliever alternative such as skullcap.
Just remember that research is usually always commissioned by companies that can benefit from the research being in their favour. Some products will even give bogus statistics. As such, it’s always best to do some scientific research of your own and to speak with people that have tried alternative medicines for your condition.
More control over your body
When you go to a doctor for advice about your illness, you’ll typically listen to them without second-guessing or questioning them. This is perfectly fine in most cases since they’re a trained healthcare professional that knows more about the problem than you probably do. However, it can also make you feel less in control. This can be concerning for some people which is why many have switched to natural remedies whenever possible. They’ll only speak to their doctor and take medication if there’s absolutely no choice, or if their natural remedies aren’t really working anymore. Not being reliant on a prescription can make you feel more in control over your body and makes you feel like you’re not too overly reliant on your doctor’s orders.
However, remember, if your doctor says you need a prescription medication, get it and take it as instructed. Trust their judgement if they say that natural remedies aren’t enough for you. It’s important that you don’t completely avoid taking pain killers or any kind of medication that you normally would. After all, there are going to be situations where an effective drug could save your life. However, if you have the opportunity to make small improvements to your life with natural remedies in order to improve your overall health, you should try it. Nobody should feel like they’re reliant on painkillers or prescription medication unless they actually do need it.
