The Luneia Radiance Ritual Mask (£40 from Luneia) is a face mask that is really popular with the Instagram skincare community. I’ve been wanting to try it out for such a long time and i’ve finally got round to it. It’s exfoliating, brightening and hydrating; whilst also cooling the skin during application.
This cream mask contains no artificial fragrance, no colourants and no essential oils, so it’s a good one for all skin types. It also comes in amazing eco-conscious packaging too – the plastic tube is recyclable after use and is made from 50% recycled plastics and reclaimed ocean plastic. The cardboard box is made with pulp from sustainable forests and is constructed without glue so that it’s fully recyclable as cardboard. It’s also printed with vegetable inks too! Then, finally, the beautiful muslin cloth that comes with the mask is made of 100% cotton sustainably sourced by an ethical factory in India. The brand have clearly put in a lot of effort into making this mask as sustainable as they possibly can.Onto the mask itself. It’s a gel cream texture and feels cooling and refreshing on the skin. Especially if you keep it in the fridge like I do. It’s a powerful exfoliating and radiance-boosting mask that also hydrates and plumps the skin. It’s designed to be used once per week to get rid of dead skin cells. It’s a chemical exfoliant so uses acids to do this as opposed to using physical buffing particles. I’m a chemical exfoliant girl all the way and I love this mask as an intense weekly treatment in addition to my daily acid toner application.

It has 10% Glycolic Acid (an AHA derived from sugar cane) and 2% Salicylic Acid (a BHA that’s great for acne or spot-prone skin). The Glycolic Acid exfoliates the skin, brightens it and adds radiance, while the Salicylic Acid keeps pores clear and dries up breakouts. There are also some other skin comforting and hydrating ingredients in this mask to counteract the side effects of the acids. There’s super hydrator Squalane, skin calming Prickly Pear Seed Oil and skin softening antioxidant Vitamin E to make sure that your skin isn’t only soft and smooth, but also plumped and refreshed too.
This is a real winner of a mask for me and definitely one that I am going to continue to use. I’d definitely recommend picking this one up and trying it out for yourself.
