The Oskia Renaissance Mask is by no means a new discovery for me. It’s a cult favourite in the beauty world and i’ve had several mini sample pots of it over the years. This is the first time i’ve had a full-size jar and have been able to use it consistently over a period of time.
This mask is a really indulgent softening treat for this skin. My skin has always loved it any time i’ve used it before, but having the full-size has allowed me to also really appreciate the effect of it’s exfoliating and brightening properties on the uniformity of my skin. The Oskia Renaissance Mask* (£60 from Oskia) is a winner on so many levels. I love the texture of this mask – it’s rich, thick, buttery and slightly sticky (but in a good way, like honey). Its texture reminds me a lot of two night moisturisers – the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream and the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Night Cream. Both of these are more like overnight masks anyway I think. With this Oskia classic, you apply a thin layer to clean skin and then massage it until it turns white in colour. You then leave it on for 15 minutes before removing with a warm, damp flannel. It’s designed to be used maximum of twice per week, but if you love the rich, slightly tacky texture, think about one of the two moisturisers above that you can apply every night.
This mask contains natural fruit acids that break down dead skin cells to reveal the glowing, radiant, soft skin underneath. These passionfruit, grapefruit, lemon and papaya enzymes are also beneficial to congested skin. There’s also Lactic Acid to boost cell regeneration and diminish signs of ageing, and Prebiotics to fight bacteria and keep the skin barrier strong. Swiss Garden Cress Liposomes stimulate your skin cell energy levels so that it looks revitalised and brighter too. It’s an exfoliating mask, but its not damaging your skin’s vital first line of defense. Natural anti-histamine Butterbur also stops your skin from looking red or irritated. This mask also deeply cleanses, plumps and softens and leaves your skin looking calm.
It’s just a wonderful creation that does so much with no side effects of irritation or redness that other exfoliating masks can cause. It looks after your skin, nourishes it and fortifies it; whilst also helping it to look its absolute best. I love this mask and would definitely recommend investing in it.
