Happy Friday! A Life With Frills in No.14 in the Top 20 UK Women’s Lifestyle Blogs list by Feedspot. I’ve been testing out Vice Reversa. I am so impressed with this brand, I can’t even begin to tell you. I’ve tried a similar technology before (from 111Skin) but the price point was significantly higher. I was so excited to try these to see if they could deliver the same results and they most definitely do. I love that this technology, and very unique method of ingredient penetration, is now available to people with less of a budget.
The Vice Reversa Micro Needling Plumping Patches (£34.95 for 4 pairs from Vice Reversa) are still pricey as eye patches go, but these aren’t your slap on every day for relaxation and plumping kind of patches. These are patches that make an immediate transformative difference to lines and wrinkles, so they are more the type of patches that you would wear before an important event or photo shoot etc to really help your skin to look its best and to hide any particular wrinkles and lines that you might be particularly self-conscious about. These are not just for around the eye area either, but can also be used on the foreheard and around the mouth. If you can afford to use these more regularly, once per week would be good to help give you firmer and younger looking skin over time.
The techology they use to get the ingredients into the skin is so clever. If you think about traditional micro-needling, one of the aims of that is that any ingredients you put on top afterwards will penetrate the skin deeper because of the tiny holes made in the skin. These patches do the same thing, except no wounds are created – instead of using tiny needles, their ‘needles’ are made from crystallised ingredients. You stick on the patch, press the patch onto the skin so that the ‘needles’ ever so slightly penetrate the top layer of your skin and then leave them there for a couple of hours. The crystallized serum ‘needles’ will dissolve into the skin. No pain, no wounds, no marks; just nicely plumped out lines and wrinkles. These patches contain crystallised hyaluronic acid (to hydrate and plump), collagen (to boost skin firmness and elasticity) and peptides (to re-build collagen and elastin). The technology allows these ingredients to get right into the skin where they are needed, and as such, are more effective than regular under eye patches.
If you can, leave these on overnight to work at their absolute best. They really do stick to the skin, so even the roughest sleeper could keep these on! I would definitely recommend trying these if there are lines setting in that you don’t want.
