I forgot to put this post live on Friday! Better late than never! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I am obsessed with honey and propolis (in essence the by product of a bee’s honey production) as ingredients in skincare. They work so well with my skin and have a whole host of benefits. One of the latest honey face masks i’ve been trying is this one from SJO Skin.

The smell of the SJO Skin Happy Honey Mask* (£44 from SJO Skin) is incredible – it smells of a beautiful fresh honey. It even has a similar texture to honey and is just as sticky. The stickiness is a downside of this mask, but if you make sure you keep your hair out the way, you can definitely put up with it. The texture is slightly gritty as it contains exfoliating coix seeds; making this mask an all-round multi-tasker. It exfoliates, it soothes and calms, it nourishes and strengthens the skin barrier and it deeply cleanses the skin.The mask comes with a very handy and easily cleanable silicone brush that helps you to spread this mask over your skin and keeps the sticky formula off of your fingers. You apply a generous layer using this brush, leave it to work on your skin for around 20 minutes, before wiping off with a warm flannel. You’ll feel it warming slightly on the skin as you wear it, and it won’t dry out on the skin or go hard.
