You’ll be sold on these masks just by the packaging, but do the contents deliver? Wishful is the skincare brand from Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan. There’s only a handful of products in the line so far and they all look super cool with the neon pastel aesthetic. Wishful have three masks – the Thirst Trap Cocoon Sheet Mask, the Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask and the Eye Lift & Snatch Instant Sculpting Masks.
This is a premium priced skincare line, but everything I have tried so far has been excellent and you really get your money’s worth. All three of these masks are no exception to that and they really deliver. The Wishful Thirst Trap Cocoon Sheet Mask* (£8 from Cult Beauty) is a thicker fibre sheet mask than i’m used to, and the serum it is infused with has almost a jelly-like texture. This results in a mask that stays moist for longer and really gives your skin a mega boost of hydration. This gives you the dewy skin of dreams. ns and soothes the signs of parched cells. Althaea rosea flower extract condition and softens the skin. Sodium hyaluronate (a water-soluble salt form of hyaluronic acid that absorbs easily) really boosts hydration and keeps that moisture locked into the skin. There’s also caffeine to re-energise the skin by brightening it, and soothing hero aloe vera cools and calms the skin. I will definitely be picking up more of these masks as they’re excellent.
The Wishful Chin Life Sculpting Sheet Mask* (£8 from Cult Beauty) is a chin mask that hooks around your ears to stay in place. The idea is that it will firm your skin and tighten the skin to give you a more sculpted look. Obviously this is a temporary effect, but it’s great to use before an important night out. You wear this mask made from special lifting tape for 20 minutes as it holds your jaw tight. The serum this mask is infused with contains peptide acetyl hexapeptide-8 to help your skin to moisturise itself and firm the skin; giving a more ‘lifted’ look. Niacinamide helps reduce the appearance of pores and evens skin texture, adenosine deeply moisturises and peppermint cools the skin and tackles redness. You really do noticed less of a ‘slackness’ around your chin area and it feels much firmer. It is a temporary effect however, so save it for your next special appointment.
Finally, the Wishful Eye Lift & Snatch Instant Sculpting Masks* (£4 from Cult Beauty) are those very rare, but heavenly, masks that actually stick to your skin and stay put. You can actually do things with them on, which means you can wear them for longer. With hydrating masks and under-eye masks I try to keep them on for as long as possible i.e until they dry out. The eye masks help to make your under-eye area look smooth, tight and bright. The work is done by powerful peptides and plant stem cells, as well as hydrators such as glycerin. I love them!
