I haven’t done a favourites post in a while, so these cover the whole summer this year. It’s a real mixed bag, with skincare, haircare, homewear, makeup, health supplements… Let’s dive in!
Products marked * are PR samples, with no obligation to post.Herringbone Pink Throw – £90 from The Lazy Pheasant
As you’ll know, I recently moved house. The living room has a pink and green theme and I fell in love with this throw from independent interiors boutique The Lazy Pheasant. I got talking to them on Instagram after I bought my throw and she kindly gave me a discount code to share with you – you’ll get 15% off with the code FRILLS15. They have a large selection of luxurious 100% Merino Lambswool throws in a variety of colours and print. Perfect for the autumn/winter season. It’s of such a high quality, so soft, and definitely worth the £90 price tag. If you love countryside interiors, you need to check out the other products they offer too.Tisserand Aroma Spa Diffuser – £40 from Tisserand
I’m a luxury scented candle addict. I’m obsessed, especially at this time of year. I always have a couple burning in the living room. However, I don’t burn them in the bedroom as I fall asleep quite quickly when I go to bed, so a candle wouldn’t have a chance to scent the room properly and I obviously couldn’t leave it burning when i’m sleeping. A spa diffuser is perfect for me as I can switch it on an hour or so before bed and leave it on so that there’s a lovely relaxing atmosphere for when I go to bed. This one from aromatherapy brand Tisserand is great. I love their oil blends and this diffuser has relaxing light settings if you want to use them too. You just fill the diffuser with water, put in a few drops of your chosen oil, switch it on, and it will pump out a light, scented mist. Dreamy!
Versed Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution* – £14 from Versed
I love an AHA acid toner and i’ve used one daily (in the mornings) for years. I was so excited when Versed landed in the UK and this was one of the products I was most keen to try. It has a helpful pump top, so you just take a resuseable cotton pad, place it on top and pump down to soak it with the toner. Then just swipe it all over your face. It’s not harsh, but super effective in evening out pigmentation, minimising dark spots, brightening the skin and leaving it silky soft. It has a blend of four brightening and exfoliating acids – azelaic acid, kojic acid and AHAs. There’s also bearberry extract, a natural & safe alternative to hydroquinone for all skin tones, that is a powerful brightener, but gentle enough to use daily.
Indeed Hydraluron Moisture Jelly* – £20.83 from Look Fantastic
This has been such a cult product for SO long, but I just didn’t get round to trying it until recently. It’s a lightweight, super hydrating (via Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid) gel moisture boost, that you can apply whenever your skin needs it. My skin literally drinks this in and it’s so plumping and not at all sticky. It’s cooling, refreshing, hydrating and it also helps prevent moisture loss too. A staple that everyone needs in their skincare stash.MZ Skin Retinol Skin Booster – £109 from Skinstation
I got to know the brand MZ Skin through their products being in several of my monthly Mintd boxes. They really impressed me, so I had to get their retinol, even although it’s a pricey one. It has 2% encapsulated retinol, making it a bit gentler on the skin but just as powerful. This is an oily booster, where you add a few drops to a serum or moisturiser of your choice, so it will last you quite a while. I tried applying this like a serum and it was just too much for my skin to handle, plus it felt very greasy this way too. Retinol is the key anti-ageing skincare ingredient. It boosts collagen production to boost elasticity and firmness and minimises the appearance of lines. This product is also really hydrating for the skin too. It also contains brightening antioxidant Vitamin C and offers protection from infrared, blue light and UV damage. A real powerhouse. The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm – £9.99 from Boots
I do love a boujie cleansing balm I must admit, but sometimes I just want a basic but effective, fragrance-free, soothing balm for when my skin needs some extra TLC. This is such an effective cleanser and it’s a joy to apply. This affordable balm cleanser uses the soothing power of collodial oatmeal and ceramides, to comfort and nourish your skin and fortify that all-important skin barrier. It feels so luxurious to use and is the perfect choice for the colder months of the year. It cleanses, soothes, reduces redness, offers protection against environmental agressors (via antioxidant oat kernal oil) and is great for sensitive skin. A total bargain for £9.99.

Codex Bia Gentle Cleansing Oil* – £50 from Cult Beauty
I had tried quite a few cleansing oils over the years and not liked any of them, so I’d written off this category of cleanser for my own personal use. However, now that my skin is a lot older, I stuck my toe back in the cleansing oil game with this one from Codex, as i’d heard great things. It is utterly heavenly! It has a powerful, relaxing aromatherapy scent and is a beautiful, non-greasy oil to use on the skin. My only complaint is that it should have a pump dispenser as you waste a lot of this by pouring out too much into your hand. The Vegan cleansing oil, cleanses, softens, hydrates and soothes the skin. Borage seed oil prevents moisture loss, blackcurrant seed oil rejuvenates the skin, oat lipids soothe and calm, and chia seed hydrates and balances the skin. As I love the scent of this so much, it’s a great one to do some facial massage with before you add some water to emulsify it into a milk and remove.Fenty Skin Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream* – £23.80 from Boots
I am so fussy when it comes to body moisturiser, but this one is exceptional. It has the most dreamy buttery and oily texture that deeply moisturises and hydrates the skin, but also leaves it with a beautiful sheen. Perfect for when you get your legs out. I also use this as a hand cream as my nails, skin and cuticles love it. It really feels so decadent and rich (but in a good way) – it’s not heavy or greasy, but it’s effective and gives an attractive sheen. Tropical butters and oils condition the skin and glycerin helps to lock in hydration. There’s also brightening Vitamin C antioxidant cherry extract, to brighten the skin.Jimmy Choo I Want Choo Eau de Parfum* – £38.25 from Boots
This is a stunning scent that’s both floral and sweetly fruity. It’s feminine, sophisticated, sensual and really multi-dimensional. A citrus top of mandarin juice and sweet peach, mixes with a heart of floral red spider lily and deeply alluring jasmine sambac, and a base of vanilla and rich, sweet benzoin. A perfect day and night scent, and the bottle is just beautiful too!Erborian Skin Hero Bare Skin Perfector – £39 from Erborian
I did a paid AD for this on Instagram, but i’m choosing to feature it here too, as I just love it so much. It’s magic in a tube! It smoothes and perfects the look of your skin without any tint or silicones. It plumps, hydrates, blurs and illuminates the skin via it’s Korean white ginseng and retexturising enzyme complex. The perfect way to top off your skincare routine if it’s a no makeup day. It’s so comfortable to wear and I don’t understand how it does what it does, but it does.Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Protecting Primer SPF 30 – £28.90 from Boots
This is such an enjoyable primer to use. It feels so cooling, light and hydrating on the skin and it gives me my SPF protection too. I don’t normally wear primers, but the Laura Mercier ones feel so good that you want them on your skin. They are refreshing and give me SPF protection without any greasiness or eye irritation. As they are so hydrating, they really plump my skin, giving me a great base for makeup, or a no makeup day also.Estee Lauder Perfectionist Pro Multi-Defense Aqua UV Gel SPF 50 – £32.40 from Boots
Speaking of light and hydrating SPFs, this is another one that I have been using religiously. It too is cooling, refreshing and gel-based. The formula of this is incredible compared to the usual heavy or greasy SPFs. It literally feels invisable and gives your skin a great boost of hydration. Tiger lily extract also plumps and firms the skin, and there are 8 different antioxidants in this formula, to give you great protection against environmental agressors. If you hate applying SPF and struggle to find one you love, this is definitely for you.
Sol de Janeiro Brazillian Crush Body Fragrance Mist – £32 from Cult Beauty
I spent the summer covered in every bit of Sol de Janeiro I could get my hands on. However, now that it’s autumn, i’ve switched to other body moisturisers and shower gels, but i’ve continued to use their body mist in that incredible Bum Bum scent. Yes, it smells of coconuts and summer, but it’s really cooling on the skin and the scent is actually fairly light, making it great to layer with more intense fragrances later. It’s refreshing and is a little bit of sunshine that I’ll hold onto all year long.WelleCo The Super Elixir Supplement Powder – £50 from WelleCo
If you’re like me and you don’t much like your vegetables, this is the supplement powder for you to add to your morning smoothies! You’ll get all the nutrition you need, without having to chew your way through a pile of green veg. This fruit flavoured green powder contains over 40 naturally-derived ingredients from wholefoods to herbal extracts, and vitamins to probiotics. It really packs a nutritional punch – designed to improve gut health, boost immunity, improve skin, hair and nail health, and give you an increase in energy. There are so many healthy ingredients in here, including mushrooms to fortify your immune system, antioxidant acai berries and nutritious wheatgrass. Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White Gold Toothpaste – £4.99 from Superdrug
Beverly Hills Formula Professional Teeth Whitening Kit – £24.99 from Superdrug
This is my first time trying this toothpaste/teeth care brand. I was looking for a whitening treatment in the months leading up to my wedding in August and settled on this after reading some great reviews. it did not disappoint. It really whitened and brightened my teeth, but didn’t make them feel sensitive or uncomfortable. I did a daily whitening strip and night and then boosted this with using the toothpaste twice per day. The toothpaste is glittery gold and it makes the tiresome task of brushing your teeth feel much more boujie and fun. I’ve really noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth and I find that doing a weekly strip and continuing with the toothpaste, is enough to maintain the results.Louis Vuitton Rose des Vents Perfume – £200 from Louis Vuitton
My love for deep and moody rose scents will never end, and this fragrance (and the below hand wash) fall firmly into this category of fragrance. Yes, this is a pricey perfume, but you get a lot for your money and because it’s so powerful and long-lasting, you don’t need to use much. It’s supposed to transport you to a field of roses in Grasse, France. Centefolla rose absolute mixes with Bulgarian rose essence and Turkish rose essence to give you that intense floral rose hit. The fragrance also has notes of iris and cedar, which are suppsoed to celebrate the sleek, stately stature of the rose flower. There’s also light peppery and fruity notes; giving this scent so many layers. Totally luxurious and sophisticated.
Christian Dior La Colle Noire Hand Wash – £55 from Dior
An equally as complicated, sophisticated and luxurious a scent is La Colle Noire from Christian Dior. I need to pick up both the fragrance and the body moisturiser too as it’s a heavenly scent for me. The scent is so powerful and beautiful in this hand wash, that you need to take the time to inhale it before your rinse it off, and once you do rinse it off, you will still be able to smell it lingering on the skin. It feels like a real treat to use. It too has strong and rich floral rose notes mixed with peppery notes. It’s different to the Louis Vuitton, but it still has the same character and it envokes the same feelings in you. It’s also inspired by the fields of roses in Grasse, and I adore it.
