These are definitely examples of makeup that is just too pretty to use; however, I urge you to use these as they are both beautiful products. The first is Bouquet de Noel and is a lip balm that has the very lightest orange tint to it. Barely detectable. It’s really conditioning on the lips and is so lovely to use. The second is Ruban de Noel and is a semi-transparent red. It also has a balmy finish and is a good option for someone who wants to try a red lip, but doesn’t want anything that’s really full on. There are two of these quads. The other has paler, more ‘universal’ blush tones, whilst this one is definitely more of a statement palette that’s more suited to darker skin tones. These novels are the perfect gift for any readers who love a good psycological thriller. When I gift books, I think it’s really nice to gift a book alongside a pre-order of another book that isn’t out yet. That way they get one to read now, and they’ll receive one in the post a couple of month’s later to read then. The Heights by Louise Candlish is out now and tells the story of someone who is looking into the apartment building opposite them and sees a face they recognise on the roof across from them – the face of someone who takes their breath away as they’ve been dead for two years. It’s a nail-biting, edge of your seat, sitting up all night to finish kind of book and is such an enjoyable read. The other book, Reputation, isn’t out until March, so would be a pre-order gift. It too is a great thriller, telling the story of Emma, a respected MP and mother, who may or may not be guilty of the murder of a tabloid journalist. She has a reputation to protect and the body has been discovered in her home.
