EASY TRICKS TO BOOK CHEAP FLIGHT TICKETS

Everyone loves to travel – visiting new places, eating delicious cuisines and experiencing different cultures are only some of the wonderful things that come with travelling to a foreign city or place. However, no matter how much wanderlust you have, it is not always easy to go on a trip whenever you want to, as there’s a lot of money involved with travel. To not overspend or waste money, you need to have an itinerary, a budget and of course an affordable way to reach your desired destination.

One of the most important things when planning a trip is to book flight tickets. Getting your hands on cheap flight tickets isn’t always easy, but there are tips and tricks to doing it more sucessfully.

    Start looking for tickets early

It might sound like an obvious point but booking early flight tickets for your vacation will help you find more inexpensive options. Not only that, but you also are more likely to find some coupons or discount codes that might be available for an airline or travel agent, if you are booking a trip well in advance. Before booking your tickets, check of all the discounts and offers if any are provided by the airline or booking site. Most of the time you will find good offers and discounts on flight fares and even cashback offers as well. Sometimes even the credit cards that you are using for the payment can also provide discounts as well. It is possible to travel cheap.

    Try using frequent flyer points

Most airlines have a frequent flier points reward scheme. I just won’t promote British Airways or Virgin’s as it’s terrible – so hard to redeem your points for anything worthwhile or useful. There’s so few things they will actually let you use them on when it comes to actually attempting to redeem them. However, some premium airlines such as Air Arabia and their AirRewards scheme, i’ve heard are actually a lot fairer and worth collecting. I guess it depends where you are travelling from and too – check all your local airlines and look at reviews of their rewards schemes.

    Browsing in incognito mode

There is a lot of debate that goes around this point. Many websites tend to claim that booking your flight ticket in incognito mode might save you money but then again, a lot of the other websites also tend to claim there is no definite proof that incognito mode actually helps you save money or not. However, one of the uses that incognito mode does have is it does not have any previous browsing data of yours’ thereby availing the cheapest options to you, as it’s thought that if you look up the same flight more than once, the price will increase as the website senses you are probably coming back to buy on the second search.plane wing in cloudsBe flexible about travel dates and travel plans

One of the most crucial things that you should keep in mind while travelling and booking flight tickets for your vacation is to have flexibility. If you are planning to go during peak season you will find the flight tickets to be more expensive than if you were to go during the off-season. Even some days of the week are more expensive than others.

Search and compare fares from flight searching websites

Do not stick with one website when booking flight tickets. Comparing different websites and looking for alternative options will always be beneficial for you since each website provides different discount codes and coupons which you can use to your advantage.

    Check out budget airlines

There are many low-cost airlines or budget airlines out there that you can avail yourself of if you do not want to spend a crazy amount of money on flight tickets since they can be quite expensive. Availability of budget options will not burn a hole in your pocket and you get to travel to your desired destination as well, it’s a win-win situation for sure. Just not as comfortable a one! There are a plethora of options when you are looking to book the best flight tickets, so look at all of the available options and book the cheapest option available to you if that’s your only consideration.

Search and book tickets for a single person even while travelling in a group

Say, if you are planning to travel as a group, it is advisable to book tickets individually and not as a group. It is because sometimes, booking tickets as a group can be more expensive than booking each person individually.

    Travel to cheap destinations

If you want to go for a foreign or domestic trip choose lesser-known places to travel. For example, most =people want to travel to known places like the New York, London, Paris etc.  As many people travel here, flight tickets for these places tend to be a bit higher. That is why choosing less-known places is better as they are beautiful and cheap to travel to as well. Try a new city in the US e.g. St. Louis, or a small European city like Luxembourg.

These are some of the clever tricks that you can use to get your next flight ticket at a lower rate than normal. You can also share this with your family and friends to help them out too!
