I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. With my Dad dying just 6 weeks ago, having a peaceful Christmas was the best I could have hoped for and I got that – a chilled day with my Mum and husband David. I thought i’d put together a little blog post on the things I got for Christmas this year as I love seeing what people got. There’s a real mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle items from a host of brands such as Dior, Chanel, Versace and Smythson.
There’s a few gifts I want to mention from the collage above, before I go into more detail on the rest of my ‘larger’ gifts. I got this lovely Vesace Alphabet Trinket Dish. It matches the colours of my living room so well and it’s available on the Versace website now. I also got a beautiful Smythson diary with a personalised ‘L’ on it, as well as Claridges hotel’s new cocktail recipe book and the giant Dior catwalk book. I also got a sumptuous Dior body cream in my favourite scent from them, La Colle Noir. I just shared the Dior unboxing on my Instagram. Next on my list is Rose Kabuki. Such fabulous gifts and stocking fillers. My Mum knew that I needed a new blanket for the car, so she got one made with one of the commissioned illustrations I had done for my blog – a gorgeous pastel sea blue-green Chanel 19 bag. I asked her where she got this made as I thought you’d want to know! It’s a personalised blanket from MyPicture and you can get it printed with any photo or illustration. It’s a beautiful soft fleece material and the back is plain grey. Love it and it’s such a chic addition to our car. She also go me some framed prints and acryllic block prints of photos of my Dad, but i’m going to share those in a seperate post and him and his death later this week.
Another gift I received in this personalised tote bag with my monogram on it. My work surname begins with P and my new married surname begins with S, so this is the way I honour both in my initials. This is such a great quality bag and I love the earthy colours and the strong leather handles. It’s from a seller on Etsy and you can choose the thread colour. This one is embroidered in the shade Mocha.
The jewellery I received this year was from luxury jeweller Dower & Hall and from Amelia Liana’s brand Raemi. I got another piercing in my ear lobe over the holidays and I can’t wait to layer these tiny stud earrings with a larger statement huggie or hoop. These pieces are from the Raemi Evergreen collection. I love green emerald-tone stones.
I also got this rose necklace from Dower & Hall. Again, this will be great for layering and I love that it’s such a dainty, feminine piece. Rose scents are my favourite, so it makes sense I have a rose necklace too! It’s their Wild Rose Single Bloom Pendant in Gold Vermeil over Sterling Silver.
I also got some vintage and preloved Chanel items, including this cute tiny mini bag and the most striking statement boots in the collage above. I’ve eaten too much cheese over Christmas and my ankles are a bit fat for the boots at the moment lol, but hopefully they’ll fit right soon. They are the perfect chunky winter boot and i’m so glad I managed to get a pair that are in such good condition, especially with them being white.
We have a whole new year upon us of gift giving and gift receiving, so please make sure you check out my Christmas 2021 Gift Guides for more gift ideas.
