The skin on you face is one of the areas that people are most self-conscious about. Many people don’t realise that it is actually pretty easy (and relatively inexpensive) to take care of your skin, all it takes is some dedication to maintaining a routine. Once you know what you are doing, the process is actually quite nice – having the routine in place is good for your morning/evening self-care ritual. In this post, i’m going to take you through some of the simple things that you can introduce to your day to look after your skin.
Follow Routine Consistently
A skincare routine is essential to looking after your skin, but this doesn’t have to be some 20 step regime that you have seen on Instagram. A lot of the time, keeping it simple is actually going to be in your best interests. The simpler the routine, the easier it is to follow, meaning that you will be more inclined to complete this twice a day. The consistency of completing the routine is essential to your skin staying in the best condition possible, as daily use of many products is the key to their success.
Use The Best Products
We recommend that you use the best products that you can find. Best does not mean more expensive. For example, their are some amazing low-cost French pharmacy skincare brands or K-beauty brands. When it comes to your skincare routine, you should be purchasing the products that are most suited to your skin type. Booking yourself in for a facial is a good way to find out from the therapist what the needs of your skin are. If you haven’t tried many skincare products yet, you’re not going to know which are good, so you need to base your purchase off of what other people like Skinfluencers say. Check out reviews and comparisons of products to find the general consensus as to which work the most effectively. The truth is that it takes a fair amount of trial and error before you find the products that are perfectly suited to you. Make sure you are using hughly regarded ingredients too, such as retinol, AHAs, Niacinamide and rosehip oil.
Try Not To Wear Too Much Makeup
The final thing that we recommend is trying not to wear too much makeup. We understand that a lot of people wear makeup to feel better about themselves, but the more that you put on your skin, the harder it will be to take care of. As such, try to keep it to a minimum where you can, and ensure that you wash it off well with a double cleanse at the end of the day. Try to keep to light, non pore-clogging bases like BB or CC creams.
Looking after your skin doesn’t have to be a difficult process as long as you are consistent. The earlier you start putting the effort into looking after your skin, the longer it is going to stay in good condition which should be your ultimate goal here.
