The Saturday Skin Yuzu Vitamin C Sleep Mask is designed to be worn overnight, as the final step in your evening skincare routine. It’s not often I can say that i’m blown away by the instant results of a product, but this is definitely one of those times.
The Saturday Skin Yuzu Vitamin C Sleep Mask (£25 from Cult Beauty) has the most delightful texture – a vibrant yellow-orange gel that’s almost marmalade in texture, but a bit thinner and lighter. It feels so cooling to apply and is not at all sticky. It’s smooth in texture, but little flakes that dissolve on contact with the skin, release the potency of the Vitamin C. It sinks into the skin and it doesn’t feel heavy at all as you don’t need much of the product to cover your face. The scent is just delicious too – a strong and zesty citrus.
You really do start to see results after just one night, although you obviously don’t see the real benefits of the Vitamin C until you’ve been using it for a couple of weeks. Not only is this mask brightening with anti-ageing collagen boosting from the Vitamin C, but it also has hydrating glycerin silicones, barrier fortifying and skin plumping pepides, and one of my most favourite ingredients – texture refining Niacinamide. It’s my hero ingredient as it minimises pores. There’s even a small amount of retinol in there to aid in the line minimising, elasticity boosting and texture smoothing. I was so amazed at how soft, plump and smooth my skin felt when I woke up in the morning after my first night of using this. These are the benefits you get straight away, and after a couple weeks you really start to see the radiance boost and the less visible pores.Let’s talk about the main ingredient – Yuzu. This is the Vitamin C within the product and the brand have chose the Yuzu fruit because it three times more vitamin C than any other fruit in the citrus family. Yes, more than oranges and more that Volition’s famous strawberries. It’s also an amazing source of antioxidants to protect your skin against daily agressors. This mask really is a winner for me and it’s honestly a joy to use – and that’s important; especially as part of a wind-down evenng routine. If you haven’t tried Saturday Skin yet, i’d definitely recommend this and the incredible Rub-a-Dub Refining Peel Gel, which can be used weekly when you are also using this overnight mask. With a combo of both of these in your routine, you’ll get that coveted glass skin look in weeks.
I’ve just posted a Reel over on my Instagram where you can see the texture of this in the greater detail that video allows. Do comment if you have tried this yourself and let me know what you thought about it. Can’t wait to meet you over on Instagram!
