I only had to glance at an email from Gisou advertising their new Honey-Infused Gisou Beauty Balm and I was straight on their site to purchase it. I want to share my thoughts on it with you as it has become such a cult brand. On this blog you’ll have seen i’m obsessed with their other recent launch too – the Gisou Honey-Infused Lip Oil. Read on for a Gisou Beauty Balm review. What’s it for and how do you use it?
How do you use the Gisou Beauty Balm?
The Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm retails for £29 on the Gisou website, so costs around £32 with postage to the UK. The pot of it is really huge, so it’s excellent value for money. Unless you are going to apply it to your whole body, this pot will last you a very long time. It is designed by Gisou to be applied absolutely anywhere you want. You can apply it to hair, to cuticles, to your face, to dry elbows. I really only use it on my cuticles and to smooth down fly-away hairs. I fit it perfectly into my routine this way, as I am still obsessed with the lip oil and the hair oil too.
The Gisou Honey Infused-Beauty Balm is a joy
The Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm looks and feels a lot like a cleansing balm. As soon as you touch it, it melts instantly into a skin-conditioning oil. It’s not sticky and feels heavenly. All of it’s goodness comes mainly from the honey it contains. Honey-infused skincare is a huge deal and incredibly beneficial. The Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm is for anywhere your skin needs a bit of TLC. Its formula is 99% naturally-derived ingredients. This product contains the brand’s signature Mirsalehi Bee Garden honey and propolis. Propolis is basically the bee’s by-product of honey-making that’s very beneficial to the skin. Honey is rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It’s also an amazing antioxidant and natural skin healer and soother. Propolis is also incredibly soothing on the skin and it is rich in skin-protecting antioxidants and nourishing fatty acids.
What’s the Gisou Beauty Balm key ingredient?
The Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm contains Gisou’s signature Mirsalehi Bee Garden Oil Blend. It is super moisturising and conditioning to the skin. It’s rich in fatty acids, as well as omega 3, 6 and 9 (to deeply nourish and fortify the skin barrier). It’s also rich in antioxidants to prevent skin damage from oxidative stress. There’s also moisturising and softening olive glycerides, and beeswax to attract and lock-in moisture.
Another ingredient in the Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm to note is their unique postbiotic complex. Gisou use Bacillus Ferment (a natural postbiotic) jojoba oil and oat oil. Designed to support a healthy skin microbiome by helping the growth of protective skin bacteria and strengthening the skin barrier to keep moisture in.

The texture of the Gisou Honey-Infused Beauty Balm is just absolutely beautiful and it has very slight scent to it, so you can pick-up that cult Gisou fragrance. It’s a joy to use as it literally melts without any effort at all, as soon as you touch it. It works wonders on my cuticles and I much prefer it to a cuticle oil as it just feels nicer and less greasy to apply. It’s the perfectproduct for slicking back flyaway hairs with a toothbrush or hands too. This is such a winner of a product for me, so I am literally telling you to buy it right now. You won’t regret it, as it can fit into your beauty routines in a multitude of ways as it’s so versatile.
