Most of us take hundreds, if not thousands, of photos while traveling or on vacation. Smartphones have made it incredibly easy to snap everything from poolside selfies to photos of gorgeous scenery. But they also mean that because we carry our photos everywhere we go, we’re less likely to print and display them. Here are some of the best ways to get your photos out of your phone and into your home.
Create a Cool Collage
A collage is a fantastic way to put themed photos together. If you are short on space but want to display a few pictures of your break, a collage is an excellent option. Making your own with an online template means that you can add words and other images to create something unique that reminds you of the best parts of your trip.
Make Space for a Feature Wall
A feature wall can be an excellent way to display your vacation photos, whether they’re of one trip or something you add to over time. Free up space on a large wall, and hang pictures of different shapes and sizes, using various frames and media to create depth and interest. This can be a great focal point, conversation starter, and something you add to over time.
Print a Coffee Table Book
You don’t have to hang photos on your wall to keep them printed in your home. A coffee table book displaying pictures from various adventures can be a great way to share your travels with guests and start interesting conversations. It’s also easy to pick up and flick through if you ever want a walk down memory lane.
Upcycle and Get Crafty
Using shells, sand, and other items from your travels and upcycling things like old notice boards and clothes pegs to display photos and other memories is a beautiful way to create something unique and eye-catching.
Make a Photo Map
Scratch maps are a popular way to display and remember all of the places that you have been. Creating a photo map can be an excellent alternative. Invest in a large world map that you can hang on your wall and cut photos of places you’ve been to fit in or around their home on the map. Aim to fill up as much as you can for a fun challenge.
Use Photos as Cards or Invitations
Photos make fantastic and unique invitations and cards. Instead of buying cards and invitations to events, look through some of your best images, either of you and your companions or of important sights and beautiful scenery. Have them printed as cards, and you might find that the recipients keep and frame them.
Hang a Feature
If you have a photo you love, having it enlarged, printed, and framed can be an effective way to add a stylish feature to your home décor.
Displaying photos, sending them together to people, or otherwise printing them out is a great way to enjoy and share your memories and can be a way to cheer up your home décor.
