THE BEST WAYS TO ORGANISE YOUR HANDBAG

Handbag organisation is always something that needs to be well thought out, unless it’s a huge tote that you can just chuck everything in. In this post, we share the best ways to organise your handbag so that both everything fits and allows for practical access.

Think about how you use your handbag

When planning how to organise your handbag (e.g. womens handbags at Dune) it’s important to think about how you use your bag. Are you in it a hundred times a day, or do you really only access it on your commute and office lunch break. This will determine how neatly and cleverly you need to organise it. If you’re only in it a few times a day, you could afford to just throw everything in a be prepared for a rummage. However, if it’s accessed continuously throughout the day, you are going to want to implement some storage solutions.

Storage for lots of small items

Just like you probably already have with a makeup bag, it’s important to group as many small items together as you can so that you are able to find things easily. Other than makeup pouches, you could think about pencil cases, larger pouches for iPads and notebooks, or small pouches for essentials like Tampons, sanitary towels, mini deodorants, safety pins, chewing gum, clothes stain wipes, tissues etc. This way you know exactly which pouch to pull out when you are looking for a particular thing.

Could you have any hanging charms?

Hanging bag charms inside or outside your handbag allows access to items you use repeatedly throughout the day – including hanging AirPod cases, hanging hand sanitiser, lipstick or lip balm holder charms and more. It’s like free extra space in your bag! You can even get bag charms that hold sunglasses!Shop the Dune Dinidelphie Bag in Tan (£90)

Choose a bag with compartments & zip pockets

Another way to organise your handbag is to choose a bag that has a lot of different compartments and zip pockets. However, if you are looking to organise a bag that doesn’t, you can pick up very affordable handbag organiser inserts that has all these and just slot inside your bag. You can get ones for all different sizes of bag on places like Amazon, and if you switch handbags often, you can just lift the insert out of one and into another – no need to organise your bag each time! Especially great for large tote bags that have no compartments inside at all!

    Think about minis

If you use a lot of mini bags for events or going out at night, e.g. clutches or tiny handheld bags, you will be surprised at how much you can fit it if you purchase some strategic mini products, such as makeup. Consider creating a small bag kit in the form of a wallet pouch of minis that you can just move from one tiny handbag to another.

Remember, handbags are designed to be practical as well as be fashion statements and look aesthetically pleasing. However you organise your handbag will be personal to how you use your bag and the things you need to carry.
