    DECEMBER FAVOURITES

January 6, 2015 in BEAUTY, Uncategorized

    beauty products on table

It’s time for my December favourites- the key beauty products that never left my side in the run-up to Christmas. You really must try them…

    Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream Review

    Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream, £24

This is such a perfect day cream- it’s light and absorbs really easily; but is super-hydrating at the same time. I like that it is scentless too, as the smell of so many great moisturisers in the past has put me off them. It’s really cooling and soothing on my skin too. A no frills, but amazing, moisturiser!

    balmi lip balm shape

    Balmi Strawberry Lip Balm, £4.99

It sounded like a gimick to me at first- how does the shape of a lip balm matter?! However, it really does- this is so easy to apply because of its pyramid pointed shape, and it comes in a handy cube that you can attach to your purse or keys for easy access. I love the sweet strawberry scent, and it moisturises my lips without feeling greasy (which is my complaint with so many lip treatment products). Next, I want to try the Coconut version.

OCC Lip Tar in Strumpet, £11.50

This shade is the perfect cross between pink and berry, and was my lipcolour of choice most days last month. The cream formula applies easily with a lip brush and is incredibly long-lasting. This stuff just won’t budge until you take it off with a good makeup remover. It’s worth noting, for those interested, that it’s 100% Vegan and cruelty free too.

Orly hair band nail polish varnish swatch

ORLY Hair Band Mini Nail Polish, £5

This bottle of clear polish with finely-milled gold glitter was much used during the festive season. The glitter is so fine and not so ‘in your face’ like chunkier glitter polishes, so i’m still wearing in into January. It looks great on its own or over another shade; and because its glitter particles are so fine, there’s no nonsense with the removal of it.

too faced lashgasm mascara brush review

    Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara, £18

I only have a mini version of this mascara; but i’ll definitely be purchasing the full-size version when this runs out. The rubber brush with it’s short rubber bristles works really well in separating my lashes, and the mascara lengthens them brilliantly. This is currently my favourite, and definitely takes over from Too Faced’s famous Better Than Sex mascara.
