I wanted to share with you, 3 new products from Clinique that I think you need to try. There’s both makeup and skincare, and all three things will suit everyone.
If you adore your morning moisturiser, but struggle to find a foundation or BB cream that suits you, you’re going to love the new Clinique BIY Blend It Yourself Pigment Drops* (£25 from Clinique). This tiny bottle contains undiluted foundation colour pigment and all you need to do is add one or two drops to your daily moisturiser of the back of your hand, and you have your own bespoke tinted moisturiser. In the photo above, I’ve accidentally added way more that you need to (do not squeeze the bottle, just tap), but you can get it to quite a full coverage if you want to. The new BIY drops come in 12 shade, so there’s something to suit everyone.
Clinique have also increased their Chubby family with the addition of the new Chubby Plump & Shine Liquid Lip Plumping Gloss* (£18 from Clinique). There are 8 shades, but I am totally obsessed with 01 ‘normous nude. These look like the Chubby Stick lip crayons, but they actually have a plastic point that you twist the gloss out of from the bottom. This is seriously the most gorgeous gloss. It adds just a hint of caramel colour, but really ups the shine of your lips to make them look plump, full and moisturised. Addicted!
Finally, I want to share with you a new, very interesting, skincare release from Clinique. Their Fresh Pressed 7-Day System with Pure Vitamin C* (£25 from Clinique) contains 7 one-use sachets of Renewing Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C, and one 7-day vial of Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% serum.
I’m not going to get very in-depth about the science of Vitamin C, except to say that it is amazing for skin. It brightens the skin, adds radiance, acts as an antioxident, is an anti-inflamatory, boosts collagen production and firms the skin. We can’t produce our own Vitamin C, so we need to get it from our skincare (and food). Something that’s also crucial to know about Vitamin C is that it naturally degrades when its exposed to air. With the single-use powder sachets (you lather with water) and a serum that is only mixed and opened for 7 days, you are getting it at the maximum potency possible. You really do notice a difference in your skin after just a week of using this in the mornings – mine was brighter, more even in pigmentation and more even in texture. This would be a great kit to pick up a week before a big event. They also contain Salicylic Acid, so will really help to clear up any breakouts you have too.
Have you tried any of these products? If you do want to know about Vitamin C in more depth, check out the article that I wrote for The Pretty Pimple site in the US.
