The theme of this month’s Look Fantastic box is Global Glamour* – perfect for all the summer travellers, and containing products from across the world. There’s a good mix of makeup, skincare and haircare inside, so it’s a great box to snap up while you can.
The Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes are very good value. Subscription prices start from as little as £13 per month from Look Fantastic, and this month’s box’s contents are worth over £40. You also get that month’s copy of Elle Magazine with every box too!
Let’s start with makeup. The sample-sized tube of the Skin79 Super Beblesh Balm SPF 30 PA++ BB Cream in Pink (full size worth £22.90), is the first foundation/base product that I’ve ever received in a beauty box that has been light enough for my skin. This Korean product comes in just this one pale shade, but there are some other coloured tubes of it, to serve different skin purposes. Pink is for brightening, smoothing and protecting. I really like this – it has good skin perfecting properties and really evens out the skintone.
The other makeup item in the box is a travel size brow pencil from Italian brand Lord & Berry. Their Magic Brow Pencil (full size worth £14) comes in two colour options – Blondie and Brunette. Each pencil’s led contains three different shades, to create as natural-looking a brow as possible. I have Blondie in my box, and whilst it’s a little bit too warm for my brows, I do like the formula and texture. It’s not very light in colour either, so I’m not sure it would suit many blondes.
Onto skincare, there’s a full-size Lottie London Balm Ball Lip Hydrator (worth £4.99) in the box. These lip balms come in different flavours, and the one I got was the sweet Cherry Pie. Lottie London is a cruelty-free and vegan English brand. I like these lip balms – the shape of them allow you to cover two lips in one swipe, and they are very conditioning too.
There’s also a lovely cream Gatineau cleanser in the box, that’s in a great travel-size (but some people will receive a handy toner from this French brand instead). The Gatineau Gentle Silk Cleanser (full size worth £26.35) has a strong floral scent, but I like that. It smells and feels very luxurious and is a nice cleanser to use in the morning. It feels very soft and soothing and leaves your skin feeling very comfortable. I’m not sure how sensitive skin would handle the strong fragrances though, even although it does say it’s suitable for even the most sensitive of skins.
Moving further around the world to Greece, there’s a travel-size body lotion from Korres in the box. Different subscribers will get different scents, but in my box, I got the very summery Basil Lemon Body Milk (travel size worth £3). This isn’t a scent for me, purely due to personal preference; but, the formula of the lotion is very light, moisturising and non-greasy.
Finally, there’s a haircare duo in the box, from the US. I haven’t tried the Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo & Conditioner (full-sizes worth £4.99 each) yet, but they are supposed to be super conditioning and softening, as they used to be made just for course horse’s hair. Apparently Jennifer Aniston swears by this stuff, so I’ll definitely be giving these products a go.
If you want to grab the Global Glamour box before it disappears, you can subscribe from just £13 per month at Look Fantastic.
